Okay, here's one.

I believe Bro (and Dirk) treat sex like a special interest. Not that they're some gifted sex God type thing, but that they love to deep dive into all the different ways sex has been explored by humans. We've taken a biological instinct and expanded on it in such a vast array of different directions just like we've done with something like food.

Dirk is very openly very into pornography and sex as a whole, you can tell from his introduction and his room decor. He admits he has the dream of getting into the adult industry the way Bro did. We also know Dirk is the type of person who is naturally really good at physical and laborious tasks. So it wouldn't be far fetched to assume he has done extensive research and whatever practice he can do be really good at it when the time came.

But more importantly, I think he would fall to the assumption that sex = intimacy and that's a huge obstacle he has when it comes to emotional connection. He's a guy whose scared of being vulnerable and getting it wrong, but he's worked so hard to be GOOD at sex, a physical activity, that he can just use that in place of being emotionally available.
