No because Caroline keeping the dress that Klaus gave her through all those years and handing it down to her daughters and Lizzie keeping it tucked away safely in the top of her closet for a long time thinking it's the most beautiful dress she's ever seen so it obviously has to go on the most beautiful girl she's ever seen without knowing that it belonged to that girl's dead father is just so poetic and brilliant.

How old were you when you realized Hope "won" more crushes away from Josie than Lizzie ever did? Because I was two-minutes-ago old, and I need to know your thoughts, especially combined with last episode's revelation.

at this point in the show josie had yet to grow up and was honestly just looking for reasons to villainize lizzie because she didn’t want people to now she was slightly ableist. both hope and lizzie ‘stealing crushes’ was unintentional but i do think that josie holds hope on a pedestal similar to hoe alaric expects so much from hope. josie doesn’t even stop to think before putting the blame on lizzie even if it was mostly hope. this situation was honestly just really messy, unneeded and childish. it’s not like crushes are that big a deal. josie wasn’t in love with any of those poeple and if she had been then i genuinely think that both hope and lizzie would have backed off. but josie never says anything. she sits quietly in the corner and saves the argument for the future where she can pin everything of lizzie and be the victim.

MG and Hope are the only ones who let their image of lizzie change with her. they never held on the childish version of her. they saw her making the effort to be better and supported her and defended her when no one else saw her struggle.
