Bonkai Leaves Me

Hey guys! I want to start something and I really hope it picks up. It's a tag: #bonkaileavesme I want people to write posts titled like this one, "Bonkai Leaves Me" and then finish how it leaves you feeling in the actual text part. No one can deny that Bonkai has left you feeling some sort of way, good or bad. It could be about how the end of it left you livid. Or how the start of it left you warm. For me, a big one is this: Bonkai Leaves Me... Inspired. Bonkai is the only reason I ever picked up creative writing and now I have a multitude of original poems and stories and creative writing and even some manuscripts in the works (but I don't think any of them can be published) but regardless, Bonkai inspired me to first begin writing and now, Bonkai has left me an aspiring writer. Everything about this comment is perfect @bonkais-aurora-borealis ❤️ It is baffling that the producers couldn’t see the potential of what would have been a powerful ship. Bonnie and Kai, two badass powerful witches bringing those who are in their way down to their knees. No longer would Bonnie be there just to serve the MF gang. Unrelated Rant, I'm sorry

I need to go on a quick little rant real quick: I was just talking to someone and I said that I didn't like a girl my friend and I knew. The girl, let's call her Jane (as in Jane Doe), had disrespected me multiple times before and had been very rude towards me when I showed her nothing but kindness. What I found odd, however, was my friend's response. She said, and I quote, "That's kinda fucked up, dude. She was raped you know?" Yes. I did know Jane had been raped before. However I still couldn't see how me not liking her for a valid reason was, in the words of my friend, "fucked up." Before I continue, I want to clarify that I loathe rapists and cringe thinking they get lesser sentences than murderers. If it were up to me, I'd make sure they lived the rest of their lives in prison or solitary confinement even; let them live a life robbed of innocence and control just as they had caused to another person (male or female). With that being said, I don't understand how just because someone is a victim of rape, or any rough past, that automatically means I need to like them no matter how they act towards me. Jane has never been kind, nor shown me respect, despite the amount I've shown towards her. But, since she was raped, I have to let her treat ME poorly because what happened to her is apparently a fault of my own. While I firmly believe rapists need to be punished more severely than they are today, I also firmly believe that not one person reserves the right to be rude or disrespectful to another human being. I've had a rough past of my own and I've had some god-awful days, but never have I tried to make someone feel less or disrespected because of how I feel. The way I feel is totally out of their (and my own) control. What isn't, however, is how I treat them in spite of my past or current situation. Which is why my friend telling me that I was essentially wrong for not liking Jane purely because she was raped infuriated me; yes, I do wish she had not been raped and feel so bad that she has to live the rest of her life with that. But no, I don't think that makes me obligated to like her. Okay, rant over.

When Kai says, “My guilt keeps me up at night,” I wish they showed an example like Kai tossing and turning (shirtless) in bed one night and suddenly awakens from a nightmare of how he treated Bonnie in 1994, then he gets up from his bed (still shirtless) and looks out of his window, the moon illuminating his features and shirtless body…you know, just to get a good visual of his angst…for science purposes….

Yeah, they should have, but they didn’t show that. Kai is the first to see her, then Jeremiah sees her and runs to her and we can see Damon and Elena in the background and it looks like Elena only then notices Bonnie while Damon is still looking around him, so that’s weird…

YES! i actually forgot about that, she didn’t exactly have full control of her powers yet but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t subconsciously sense him (at least the magic in his blood) Maybe thats why she had such great timing in the grocery store? She sensed him with Damon, it was a big coincidence that she stopped him just before he staked Damon.

Yeah it’s likely was why she “stopped” Kai because she sensed him, she didn’t even have to see him, like Damon did. Bonnie wasn’t even in the store at the time Kai made his presence known to Damon.

Omg maybe. At first I was thinking Kai was already in Mystic Falls because he was trying to find a way out of the prison world, and therefore mystic falls would be the place because of the Bennetts residing there and the Bennett grimoire. After all, Bonnie’s grams did help the gemini coven put Kai away in that prison world.

But you are right, it could have been Kai detecting Bonnie had entered into his world and therefore he tried to locate her and it led him to Mystic Falls.

Ok i’m gonna add to this theory. What if since witches are natural enemies to vampires, vampires lack the ability to sense them. I mean when Bonnie walked in on Damon and Elena they really didn’t notice until she was right in the doorway and even then Elena didn’t notice until she saw her.

@wasabicakes Hmm, I like that theory. Just like how Elena didn’t hear when Kai showed up and hit her with a tire iron, unless that only had to do with cloaking. I know cloaking can mask the sound and maybe that wasn’t a good example but still why was Bonnie able to hear/sense Kai in the prison world and Damon not?

Let me add real quick: remember when Silas said that shit about the universe drawing people together and that Elena and Stephan were destined to be each other's soul mate? Didn't they say they could feel each other and sense each other in ways different than they could with other people? What if it was the same thing with Bonnie and Kai? What if they were actually meant to be together and were linked/connected by covens? Which is why Bennett's were so important to the Geminis: they are each others counterpart. Idk maybe i took it too far, just a theory haha
