In honor of artfight coming up I just always want to talk about this.
There is NOTHING stopping you from joining artfight.
Every art friend Iβve ever talked to about joining has always given at least something like one of these responses:
βOh but Iβm not good at drawing!β
βI only do traditional people donβt want that!β
βOh but I use a different form of art!(Sculpting, collages, other mixed media)β
βIβm scared people wonβt like my art!β
IT DOESNβT MATTER!!!!! Artfight is always about sharing your art and celebrating others as well. When youβre getting an attack from someone, youβre not thinking βOh their art isnβt good enoughβ βWhy isnβt it done in this specific mediaβ
Youβre thinking βOh my god itβs my Little Guy someone took the time out of their day to put effort into and draw my Little Guyβ
You get the most fun out of artfight when you forget the doubts of people enjoying your art and you just Do It. It doesnβt matter if you only do one attack the whole month, or you can only do basic sketches that wonβt get you a lot of points, Thereβs absolutely nothing telling you you canβt use a certain type of art because itβs ARTfight, itβs a collective of everyoneβs art. Youβre participating because itβs a fun event for everyone, not a high level art show.
So now go do your reference sheets now because if you donβt you will forget (projecting)
