1. What's your blog title from ?
Username from the phrase "turtles all the way down" (first thing to pop into mind when I needed to swap URLs as soon as possible); blog title from sound SAD advice ("avoid avoidance") rendered null-and-void by taking on another "avoid(ing)".
2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?
Montreal, My Beautiful. Really gorgeous cinematography, loved Joan Chen speaking Mandarin and French, and immigrant themes hit really close to home <3
3. What are you looking forward to right now?
I bought a Switch Lite not long ago for the sole purpose of playing Tomodachi Life LTD. Kinda looking forward to painting the Duolingo owl in there?
4. If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?
Run a couple errands (+ find the energy to). Otherwise, I wouldn't mind hibernating or doing a little rock climbing.
5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, soda, etc.)
Coffee--I like a flash cold brew with 2% from Second Cup. Used to get the iced caramel corretto until it got too sweet for me. Alcohol--hate anything that tastes remotely alcoholic, but I sometimes do a Smirnoff Ice. Big on fruit juice and iced tea :)
6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?
Just shampoo + air-dry (thank you short hair).
7. What's your favorite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?
Big flight enjoyer. I also really like the VIA rail (train) for longer trips. Never got on a boat, but I think I'm OK with that.
8. Favorite month of the year and why?
October. Excellent weather + foliage.
9. Favorite time of day and why?
Any time I'm asleep, not gonna lie.
10. Do you play or follow any sports? Elaborate on that.
11. What kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?
I saw a Kelli O'Hara clip the other day where she said Vicki's mic broke three seconds before they went on for The Light In The Piazza at the 2005 Tonys. Found the video after a lull in musical-theatre related interests and OH MY GOD their voices.
All of that to say, plenty of Kelli O'Hara soprano goodness. Piazza, MisCast, the Aaron Lazar album, etc.
13. What's something you learned recently?
Just how gone-to-shit Discord's become?? Was aware in the sense that every communications service downright sucks, but holy crap man.
14. If you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?
Laughter and play in mammal species (in the vein of evolutionary psychology)!
15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
Other people are autonomous too. It's not on you to play their therapist.

I've been meaning to pick up the trumpet again? Much more of a backstage/large ensemble guy.

To go on an impassioned rant about how dogshit things are lit up these days. You're telling me I gotta crank up the brightness to 150+ for The Gilded Age??? The Gilded Age??? A show about the gildedness of the Gilded Age????
