Oh, he’s been stingy with the snuggles lately. I can’t rock him to sleep anymore. I just lay him down with a bottle and he passes out. It makes me sad but then I look at Soren and I’m like, “I need four more of your babies.” We’d love to have you over once we get things settled. Hey–do you know how to paint? Mina wants to paint her room a light blue and I don’t trust myself enough to do it without getting paint on things it doesn’t need to be on.

Great! By the way, can I just tell you how floored I was to hear you were Kate Buchanan’s daughter? When I first visited New York City to go to this Juilliard summer program, I saved up all the money I was making working as a pizza guy and I bought a literal back row seat to see Wicked. I was thrilled to even just be in the theater. She was brilliant. 

I would not have stayed so long had it not been for Mina. She really thrives with community, and then, I was a dumbass and fell in love and then fell in love again and popped the second guy’s baby out. Now, though, now I need space. ‘Cause all of that still needs to be processed.

Uhm, uh… anyway. Nora wanted me to come ask if you’d like to come for dinner tonight.

Agh, you see, I had a hot date with myself planned for tonight with a TV dinner and boxed wine on the menu...I don’t know if I’ll be able to cancel that. 

I’ll teach them like I’m taught at school. It’ll be really intense and really fun.

I’m sold! Whatever help you wanna give, I’ll take. I love exposing my dancers to new teachers and styles - it just helps keep ‘em on their feet and learning new things. 

I think I’m gonna see if they’ll give me a tour of the place and I’ll put an offer in if I like it. Soren can either come with me or not, but I’m gettin’ out of this house. This was only supposed to be temporary anyway.

Hell yeah, we can be neighbors! And if Soren knows what’s good for him, he’ll come with. Not that I don’t love what Miss Nora does over there, but damn, I think I’d go crazy if I didn’t have my own space to decompress in at the end of the day. 

That’s only cause you cheated and had Little Miss New York City come and do musical theater masterclasses this summer. My juniors are going to bring their house down with their contemporary and you’re going to cry like little baby when you see it.

Hey now, what’s that saying? Think smarter, not harder. If someone’s got the goods in a specific area of dance, of course I’mma bring ‘em in to help. I’ll admit that. I got humility for days. 

Uh, I’m still new on the job, but believe it or not, we don’t respond to a ton of fires. Mostly car accidents and medical emergencies. Next week we’re going to visit an elementary school, so… It’s definitely slower here.
