Eli: easily fixated on things obsessively in his life, throwing himself into his work without a second thought. For a time, that had been his entire existence, giving little to no care over the other aspects that were being neglected. Only when he encountered Dave again was he able to break out of that routine, allowing himself time to revel in his own positive emotions; ones that he hadn't experienced in so long that he nearly forgot what they felt like. Each day spent with David was exciting and still new enough to feel like the first, the two of them acting like teenagers falling in love. When they were together, the years that had separated them were practically nonexistent, Eli willing to disregard them now that the pair of them had worked things out. Stability and comfort were at an all-time high in their relationship, and he knew it was best to take advantage of it now that they were finally allowed options. Wrapped up in Dave was exactly where he felt content to remain, giving over his time and attention to him exclusively. Feeling Dave's grip settling on him, Eli let out a soft growl in appreciation, grinding himself more forcefully down against him. "I've noticed. I figured I'd flip the script on you tonight." he smiled smugly in reply, satisfaction seeping in at Dave's reaction. He knew the things that made the man tick, and he liked to believe no one could get him quite as wound up as he could. Imagining him having spent the years with whoever else wasn't a pleasant thought to him, but Eli could take solace in the fact that none of them mattered anymore. What they shared together outweighed their combined pasts, making their old relationships nothing more than stepping stones to one another now. As he felt the tug on his shirt, Eli lifted his arms, letting the garment be pulled off his torso. As the shock of open air hit his skin, Eli wasn't given much time to stay idle, his body warming up quickly with Dave's arms coiling around him. Any amount of space between them was simply too much, Eli aiming to erase any distance between their bodies. Between kisses, he worked on ridding Dave of his shirt in retaliation, hastily grabbing the shirt and lifting it off of him. His mouth ached to travel across every available inch of skin, Lowering himself to Dave's neck, he let his hands move of their own accord, kissing here and there as he worked his way downward. One hand descended, clutching his belt as he placed gentle open mouth kisses over his Adam's Apple. Opening his eyes as he began to say something, he paused abruptly, his open mouth closing as he spotted a darkened patch on his neck. "You have a hickey?" he asked, tracing his index finger over the spot. Looking to him, Eli's brows knitted together in bewilderment, a sense of dread beginning to fill the pit of his stomach. "I didn't put that there." he stated, trying to stop the tremor he felt taking over his frame from entering his tone as well. "Who put that there?" he prodded further, his previously content disposition being ousted by a rattled and distrusting one.
Dave: wouldn't admit this to Eli, probably take this very fact to his grave before he even fathomed mentioning it to him, but he ever since their high school years together, his relationship with his parents had never been the same. Granted, he didn't lie to him when he spoke of his parents when they previously talked and told him of how their relationship was okay, it was, it was just the simply fact that his parents often lived in the past. Specifically his father. Dave would often try to avoid the very topic, or any sort of thing about relationships when it came to him, only speaking to his mother really, but his father would always end up asking something about who he was with. Or what gender he was with. Needless to say, there was a sizablely large gap between them now but even with the rift, David still felt the need to act a certain way for his father, or at least portray that to him. Which was exactly where Jacinta fell into place. Of course, at first when they got together at the beginning of his first college year, he genuinely was with the girl. But from then on, their relationship was a means of back and forth. The only way they got along was by sex, so that's what they did. Occasionally, they would go on "dates" and "define the relationship" but they both knew they were just friends with benefits, taking turns with one another. Dave was always the one to put an end to their relationship, growing tired of her drama that would arise not long after a month or so of "going out". A couple weeks later they would be back together, acting as if nothing had happened. Only, this time, Dave actually had moved on, happily so, yet she wouldn't take that as an acceptable excuse to end what they had. Using a very clever move, she agreed to keep up the charade for his father if he kept his side of the bargain and stayed with her. So now here he was, torn between two people, one unknowing of the other and the other, knowing somewhat of the other but not caring. Any time he saw Eli, he could see the entire thing unfolding before him, a nightmare really, and had hoped that he would be keen enough to never let that happen. Dave couldn't deny that when he and Eli got intimate, it was the best part of their relationship. They knew each other's bodies like a map, what buttons to push and every thing in between. Dave let out a loud groan as Eli attacked his neck, lazily mumbling his name. He kept his hands firm on his ass, closing his eyes and focusing on the pleasure Eli was administering to him. When it suddenly stopped, and Eli uttered the words to him, Dave felt his stomach drop. There couldn't be a hickey there, he careful with that kind of stuff. Quickly thinking, he replied, "Babe, as often as we have sex, you really think you didn't put that there? We were all teeth last time, you have the marks to prove it," he joked nervously, touching a mark he left of his chest. "Now come on, let's finish what we started, huh? Before the food gets finished." he urged, leaning up and kissing him again, hoping to change the unwanted shift in the atmosphere.
