background
ââ romy comes from a very transient background. her youngest years were spent between an adoption agency and foster families. thus, from a very young age, she became stubborn, confrontational. the bow of a ship forging ahead. you had to speak up to be heard, to be noticed, even as a child. ââ while this was discouraging for most, it was a beacon for damian and oxana cole. the little blonde ten-year-oldâs singular, naively fearless nature was embraced and she was adopted into their family (both the tight-knit unit and the broader mc community). ââ growing up, while soph held firm, hands slick with oil and purpose, and nico absorbed, eyes ever-studying and world ever-widening, romy was determined to carve out her own identity. she was a strange thing with strange, curious interests, elbows-deep in a pile of fairytale books or her mom's clothing. ââ it was an english teacher whoâd suggested she be put into theatre, in response to her confidence and creative inclinations. it could provide some safe guard rails for her outspoken nature, they said. besides, san diego was a huge theatre city for those who cared enough to know. thereâd be no shortage of room to explore. ââ the art form was as quick to embrace her as her family had been and, soon, it became much of her world. sure, romy loved running around with the mc (as much as theyâd let her), but she wasnât a perfect fitâodd and ornate like a fabergĂŠ egg amidst sturdy tools. the personality hire, she still insists, like itâs a real position and not a made-up one sheâd fabricated to create purpose and belonging (which she did). ââ acting took her up to USC for college, then back home while she got an MFA working with a notable local theatre. now, as most performing artists do, she juggles a survival job as a bartender while performing and sending off audition tapes as often as possible.
personality
ââ strange and beautiful. an odd-ball with an iron will and strong opinions. cool, confident, and sort-of-collected at baseline. a grudge-holder and explosive feuder, but only because she possesses a deep well of emotion. extremely loyal. insatiably curious and naively confident in many areas. someone whoâs going to figure it out, even if it takes digging in the dirt with her bare hands. ââ charismatic, but also a bit off-putting. can be the softest, shiniest thing in the room, but the moment something (or someone) rubs her the wrong way she reveals sharp edges. a sort of my-words-shoot-to-kill-when-iâm-mad reflex. a kind of if you let them treat you like animals, they will, so donât let them mentality. ââ holds immense adoration for the weird and delightful; sheâs been known to bring up ancient cults or out-there art forms at the hangout. truly, i love being a beautiful woman, it really widens the threshold of weird shit you can say. ââ loves a night out, a live band, a dance floor ââ ((iâm sure this will evolve and get more specific as i write her))
fin (for now)
