i'm sorry but can we just focus on the fact that all five hargreeves boys were such good big brothers to vanya this season?
we have luther, who finally acknowledged that what happened last season wasn't entirely her fault, even apologizing to her for being such a shitty big brother. like, can you imagine how much character development luther must've gone through for him to be able to swallow his pride and admit he was wrong just like that, despite being told his entire life that he was number one and therefore is more or less always right?
then there's diego, who is understandably a bit apprehensive around her at first but ultimately ends up being so gentle and kind and caring around her that vanya can't help but sneak in a cuddle before they head back to 2019.
obviously, klaus is the most affectionate: calling her "vanny" and wrapping her in a big hug when they reunite, and when she responds with a soft, shy "hi," we see him give the most genuine smile and kisses her forehead to boot. then, of course, there's the parlor scene where they all talk about their love lives, and even with allison making not-so-subtle signs for him not to bring up vanya's past, he plows on anyway, because he knows that vanya has a right to know and treating her like a bomb was what caused that whole mess in the first place.
and five!! obviously, their relationship was a given from the start, seeing as they seemed to be each other's favorite siblings. still: it was heartwarming to finally see it in action instead of simply hearing about it, and the best thing about all of it is that even after forty-five years apart, five is still so kind and fiercely protective of her, displaying a softness he'd only afforded delores up until this point, and it's in every crack and crevice of his interactions with her: from letting her "win" that little stare-off even though we've seen firsthand that five never backs down from a fight--even though she's more than capable of destroying entire planets with a single flick of her head--to accompanying her all the way to a farm to help a family he's never even met, because if they're important to his sister, then they mean something to him, too.
and last but definitely not the least, there's ben, who wanted nothing more than to live and be loved by his family again, yet chose to save her from herself because he loves his sister and their ragtag family so damn much, and even though he doesn't even get a quarter of an hour with her, he makes the most of it and comforts her all the way through because this alone is already waaaaay more than what he got seventeen years ago, so yes in conclusion, give me more scenes of vanya being doted upon and loved in season 3, or so help me god, i will rEVOLT
