hiyori‘s death has been implied from the beginning of the series. yato’s unwillingness to cut his ties with hiyori and her desire to be with yato and yukine lead to this outcome. the hospital arc was important for yato to understand that making hiyori his shinki is bad. he learned his lesson back then, but he didn’t had a choice here. hiyori always prioritized yato and yukine over her own life. hiyori ultimately forgot how important her own life really is. it’s really a tragedy the three of them need to face just as the manga is about to end. but!!!

i don’t think this was it. it could be, given hiyori is special in every way in noragami so far, that she will be a living shinki at the end. with her memories intact, she could keep her life and be with yato and yukine - a happy ending in a roundabout way of sorts.

I think so too, she could be half-dead during life so why not half-alive when dead? Her body is technically untouched.

She also vowed she would remember Yato, plus her not remembering would put so many shinki at risk + herself, it would not make sense
