@600movies-to-go I'm going in half-cocked without most of the visual references I need to draw this, and also doing it digitally in a style I'm not very confident in instead of on paper with pencil/ink styles I have practiced, but I wanted to let you see the little bit of progress I've made so far with the delightful deleted scene from Incident of the Silent Web you shared that I've been ruminating over for days! It's very slow going, but it's going. Might take months to finish 22 more panels at this rate T_T

So for my birthday I decided to visit the Chisolm Trail Heritage Museum in Cuero, TX! It's nothing but cattle drives and cowboys!
And it was a lovely museum!!! It had a swath of exhibits of artifacts including a whole Chuckwagon!! Definitely recommend it if you find yourself that way. :)
I'll post some select photos under the cut but all the ones I took will be in the chuckwagon (misc folder under "Cuero"). Sorry if the quality is horrible on them, I'm no photographer but just wanted to capture some neat stuff without going overboard.

God I love the little conversations like this between Mr. Favor and Rowdy.
Mr. Favor having to deal with his drovers and everything that comes with that and just being Tired. Rowdy ever so slightly challenging Mr. Favor and reminding him that they are all human and need a break. And Favor's last bit of dialogue reminding Rowdy exactly what it means to be a trailboss while still acknowledging he's right.
It's a wonderful mix of nurturing, mentorship, and familiarity that highlights the best parts of their relationship dynamic. ♥
