Turned off the film and turned on the TV to find them reporting about Renee Good's murder. The video was still coming out, the story still forming.

Something I resisted posting in a Christian community blog just now:

Faith is about recognizing someone vastly larger than you, something that is eternal and uncontrollable. It's recognizing something that, no matter how much you learn about it, will continue to hold mysteries and depths you will never live long enough to fully understand. And yet you hold onto a beautiful hope that this mystery also sees you, and loves you in a way that goes beyond the rational, human experience of loving.

Which is why I give my faith to Mother Nature.

Humanity's stupidest 50% is absolutely running the stage right now, and if I believed this was "everybody" I'd say the species has maybe 20 years left in the tank.

But it's not the end. There will be mass suffering and violence and a backwards slide, but eventually the worst of the worst will 💀 off or be revolutioned and equilibrium will slowly return. That's how natural systems work.

Just gotta buckle up and try to save what we can through the horrors.
