Cinnamon roll biskvis
I honestly have no idea what these are called in English, if there even is a name. Biskvi is the Swedish name, and it borrowed it from French, biscuit. However, calling it a biscuit is not right.
(I had a very long late night down the "what really is the difference between a biscuit and a cookie"-rabbit hole last week and it got me nowhere)
A biskvi is a baked good consisting of a baked base made of almond paste, egg white and some sugar. Once cooled, a dollop of buttercream, flavoured or neutral, is piped on and the biskvi is chilled again while chocolate is melted for dipping.
This biskvi is a variation which incorporates the flavours of a cinnamon bun, with ground cardamom in the base and cinnamon buttercream. After being dipped in dark chocolate, it is then decorated with swirls of milk chocolate to emulate the look of a cinnamon roll.
