Valko is a fully grown man.

You know this.

The werewolf aspects of himself are only minor aspects physically. (Physiologically is a whole 'nother story.)

You know this.

And yet, when you get a new brush from the pet store, you're immediately whistling for him like he's a dog as you eagerly settle on the bed.

And like he also didn't get the memo that he is, once again, a full grown man, he comes rushing in only a second later. "Yeah?" he asks, breathless not from running, but from excitement.

You beam as you hold up the new brush. "Grooming time!"

"Oh my god, yes," he groans. He crawls onto the bed, curling his body around your back. His tail and his ears, which popped out the second you whistled, are both easily accessible like this. His arms curl around your stomach and your leg awkwardly, but he couldn't care less as he presses his nose to your pants and breathes you in.

You giggle just watching him. He loves being pampered like some lady's purse dog. And you love pampering him. So it all works out.

You scratch behind his ears affectionately and he hums his pleasure. His head naturally leans into the touch, guiding your attention where he craves the scratches the most. When you pull away, he whines.

It's a challenge trying to grab his tail as it wags solidly back and forth. With its size, it has a lot of powerful muscle manipulating it, and smacking against you. Every time it plops against the bed, it thuds. Every time it smacks against you, it thwaps. It continues to shift slightly even as you grab hold of it.

"Stay still, wolfie," you chide playfully.

"Can't help it," he argues, clearly not even trying to work with you.

Doing your best to hold it somewhat steady, you start brushing at the end.

He nuzzles against you with the first sound of fur through bristles. The satisfying detangling sound, as you make his fur all nice and soft. He shivers against you, curling even tighter around.

You're gentle as you brush out knots that have formed. Careful not to be put in a position where you need to cut any of his fur away. (He pouted and whined last time it happened.) It's very peaceful. The relaxing, repetitive motion putting you at complete ease as you work further and further up the tail. It's so soft in your hands. You could sit here for hours just petting his pretty puppy features.

After some time, you finally finish. Feeling along the tail, you appreciate your good work. But once Valko catches on that you're done, his tail starts wagging with mor vigor.
