a key aspect of feminism is body autonomy — the fact that everyone can make their own decisions about their own body. so why do terfs — self-proclaimed “feminists” — argue against this? why do terfs seek to control other people’s bodies when doing so makes the whole of society more vulnerable: just because someone says so, a whole group of people have their body autonomy stripped away. to dictate what happens to someone else’s body is not a good thing. it means the same thing can now happen to you, to the group of people who you claim to “represent.” although you’re not a feminist unless you support everyone’s bodily freedom.
