Welcome!
To better navigate this blog, you can find links by clicking the three dashes at the top-left corner. Hey there, I’m Tristan! I study art with emphasis on visual storytelling. My original calling lies in traditional art, but I'm trying to branch into digital.
I'll mostly be using my studyblr to collect my studies and assignments in one place, this includes art reblogged for homework purposes.
As of the time of writing, I am currently enrolled in three Schoolism classes, Starting Your Journey, Landscape Sketching in Watercolour & Gouache, and how to use Procreate.
Influences
My favourite artists range from J. C. Leyendecker to Zinaida Serebriakova to OA to Hannah Buena, with a touch of Gerda Wegener and large doses of the Brandywine School. Favourite blog on how to paint is Gurney Journey. Main inspirations are history, weapons, men's fashions and Franco-Belgian comics of the 'adventure' variety.
Materials
Materials featured on this blog are a mix of cheap and expensive. The current set of landscaping brushes come from Lidl, watercolour preferences shift between Winsor & Newton (mainly tubes) and White Nights / Sonnet (mainly pans). Materials are listed when possible.
