I took this picture a month ago and published it on facebook. Many people really got the message, but unluckily, many others missunderstood the whole thing. I recreated this picture because I feel that gender violence isn’t taken seriously in my country. I live in Argentina, which is a country in South America. I agree with many things in my goverment (we are the first South American country who legalized gay marriage), but saddly I have to admit that there are many things, wich are equaly important, that aren’t taken into account. Like gender violence. Each year, thousand of woman suffer from this, many of them commite suicide, others just don’t say a word. Maybe this isn’t going to change anything in our society, but I want to make people realize that this is a serious matter and that it should be stopped. ”Decí Basta” (what’s written in my hand) means: ”say stop”. Let’s all say stop to gender violence.
