“Vulgarities? Wow. I wasjust joking around you know. Some people like being called bad ass.”

“Thought about what? Thatyou were a bad ass or that fireworks are great anytime?”

“That you broke a lawthat doesn’t even exist? Well aren’t you a badass? No but usually people have areason for fireworks. They’re good anytime of the year though.”

“True, but you know the best ones you can’t get legally, those are the ones that are truly worth it,” Dani snorted, glancing back over to him, “But, I mean other states you can get better ones without going through such sketchy channels, the south will sell ya pretty much anything, especially South Carolina, practically anything is legal there, if you’re willing to make the trip.”

"Huh. Sounds like you're the girl to go to for firepower, huh?" He paused, and then: "Wait. Does this mean you think my fireworks are underwhelming?"

“And who told you explosions in the sky was the way to do that?”

"----- Are you saying it doesn't work?"

“Think there should be alaw that prevents that. You know just for safety reasons. I love the fireworksthough. What’s the occasion?”

"If there is, I didn't meet it, which makes me feel a little bit better. Does there need to be an occasion?"

“That almost sounds like you’re going to do something poor with them, but I see nothing bad that could come with a load of fireworks, unless you know, messed up somehow and lit the city ablaze” 

"No - the worst that could happen is the boat I sent them out on catch on fire. And even then, that's not a huge loss."

“What exactly is the occasion?”

"To make a pretty girl smile."

“Did you buy so many because they let you or because you needed them though?”

"----- Okay, good point. But I chose what I thought would be appropriate for the evening."
