“QUARTER PAST MIDNIGHT” // New single // out everywhere Wednesday
Interviewer: How did you got discovered to join Bastille since 2015?
Charlie: My friend Stephen, who played in the band REVERE, called me one night saying a friend of his was on the lookout for somebody to join the live lineup for an ‘arena band’. He put me in touch, I did an audition, and the rest is my ludicrously exciting history.
Interviewer: You played with them in the Zenith in Paris last february. As a huge Muse fan, how did you feel to play in that venue?
Charlie: That was a big highlight for me. It was the first time my Dad got to see me play live with Bastille, and, having spent plenty of my teens jumping around my living room playing along to the Hullabaloo VHS (that’s right, VHS), it was an enormous pleasure to get to take to that stage. I threw in a little bit of the lick from ‘Muscle Museum’ as a polite nod.
Interviewer: Will you still be a musician for Bastille on their 3rd album and 4th Mixtape’s era?
Charlie: We’ll see. It’s been an absolute thrill so far. But I’ll be here for their acoustic Reorchestrated Tour in April. I will also open for them with To Kill A King.

Had so much fun shooting these lovely boys <3 Even if they were late… and a wee bit drunk… and Murph kept on saying ‘Minge.’ Would love to meet them again <3
