𝑷𝑬𝑻𝑬𝑹 𝑿 𝑳𝑶𝑲𝑰 / 𝑹𝑷 @smarterthantonystark

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨?' were the last words I heard before disappearing into a sling ring. A mystical ring with the ability to create a dimensional gateway to another location – but being known as a threat to the world, I was sent into another dimension. 

I could feel myself falling, an never-ending drop – I heard my screams echoing above me as I levelled down. In the darkest and most secret and strange catacombs of the universe, I could sense different colour schemes flashing through my closed eyes. It felt like I passed through every dimension – the speed, the atmosphere – I felt them.

I have never encountered her before, but I know 𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 when I see it. Trouble had a way of announcing itself without words, and I wouldn’t be the sort of fool to ignore it. Which makes me even more careful to watch this space for another playing me at my own 𝘨 𝘢 𝘮 𝘦. I needed to return to Asgard, but the black cat had convinced me to let her in – until the Bifrost finally rose into view. 

The first face I caught was Heimdall’s, framed by his familiar hatred that lived in his expression like an old habit. He didn’t offer a welcome; he offered judgement. Still, I didn’t dwell on it and turned to Felicity. I’m a 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧, and tricksters had instincts, and I was born with them. I knew every angle of the game and every way it could snap shut.

I recall my last encounter with Thor. In the end, there he lay at the end beside my lifeless form from rolling the files, holding close what could not be brought back to life. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐'𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.. and I needed him to know I’m alive – but.. 𝑯𝒐𝒘? I had no way of measuring how the days went by, but little did I know the TVA exists entirely outside of the normal flow of time and space. No day, No night, No month.

It felt like my own personal hell, and as much as I attempted my escape, I felt the need to save myself from what was about to happen. 𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈... 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈. I didn’t quite understand what threat was approaching, but it wore a titanium battle suit covered by a green tunic and a hooded cloak. Why couldn’t I see the face? It felt as if the threat held the reins, deciding cruelly what would be shown – until the moment it finally slipped. 

Who was it?

I knew of him and what he was capable of – someone with the kind of power that didn’t rush. But I couldn't forge this alone, so across worlds I had started to seek every hand that could bolster my cause. I didn’t want allies, I needed an army. I couldn’t chase after Asgard, nor could I reach Midgard – the familiar hearth of the heroes who usually answered when the world called. Instead, I had to follow stranger trails, seeking out the cosmos, hoping it might offer some kind of rescue. 

But little did I know whispers had slipped through cracks even I could get through.

𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴? I couldn’t think of anything so absurd. But here I was, assisting against a threat. Something had slipped loose from the cosmos, brushed past the edge of reality, and was now withdrawing across Midgard. Naturally, it was me who ended up stuck in a duo with 𝙏𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙠 – more than enough to make my eyes roll before we’d even gotten started.
