at some point i might've been happy,
i remember the view from the top of a Ferris wheel - looking down while smiling- complete,
a feel i haven't felt in years,
& at some point i felt heartbreak,
days of silence,
listening to albums i haven't visited since high school, alone - again
another time i remember being broken - nothing in my pockets,
broke - like a failure, failing.
shortly after that i remember feeling depressed, which comes & goes a lot but this time it stuck around for a few weeks,
causing me to envy everyone with a smile,
started to question everyone's journey towards "better",
later that evening i felt corny,
...cause just a week ago i felt charged - focused,
remembered how it felt to dedicate yourself - to yourself,
figured that out on my own,
also seen the world from another persons eyes & didn't feel so much like a failure anymore,
i seen the world through someone fighting to live,
i saw someone die, while "living" - at some point i stopped talking to GOD, started searching for something real in this world,
Ramadan, quartz crystals & sage - went back down a familiar road... back home,
where the same friends & fam have always been, inspiring me to keep pushing.. never stop dreaming. through sadness & all..
