listened to brody’s song three times… here are my thoughts below the cut (tldr: i’m gagged):

- that first line 😳

- i feel like i’ve never heard his voice sound the way it does on the verses. idk if it’s deeper or what but it’s good!

- i can so see him performing this live and jumping all around the stage

- i can also see a crowd of people screaming the chorus back to him

- the song matches the vibe of the cartoon drawing

okay actually i haven't been able to get pony carrying johnny to the hospital bed out of my head it was a LOT

again, totally not sure what happened that it was what had to happen last night but good god did it hurt

it's always felt like dally cradles johnny like truly his little brother in that scene, almost like how a parent or eldest sibling would hold their newborn sibling- but when it was pony-the way brody as pony held sky as johnny felt like someone holding/cradling their best friend, truly. and then the way he laid him down and straightened the hospital gown, and then when he said "i'm staying right here" and adjusted johnny's gown and like, smoothed it down-my heart was broken

this is not coherent LOL

but it was a Very good narrative choice, for whatever reason it had to happen
