If Bro Strider has millions of fans I am one of them. If Bro has ten fans I am one of them. If Bro has only one fan then that is me. If Bro has no fans, that means I am no longer on this Earth. If the world is against Bro, I am against the world.
one day some of you will actually go outside and go to pride and youāre going to meet old black queens who refers to themselves as femme, youāll meet people from small towns who still use the word transsexual, youāll see that your local activist organization set up a stall about your local LGBT history that includes leather barās history, youāll see lesbians in groups refer to themselves as āguysā and āboysā, youāll see someone with breasts and pasties and little else have āhe / himā painted on his chest, and youāll be so caught up with your terminally online attitude that instead of appreciating the wide diversity of people who exist in the LGBT community who are brave enough to share themselves youāll just be formulating posts and tweets in your head for when get home about how āproblematicā it all was and itās honestly tragic
Once, back when I worked in an LGBTQIA dungeon, I encountered a significantly older person who remarked to me that they hadnāt been to āthis type of placeā in decades. They struck up a conversation with me and told me how amazing it was to see an openly transexual youth such as myself. I asked them about their experiences with gender and they said āoh, well, Iām a bit male and a bit female. Menās and womenās clothes, sometimes makeup in a suit, sometime fresh faced in a dress when Iām at home. You know, bisexualā Obv this puzzled me at first until I realized this person was using bisexual in a very, very, literal and old fashioned sense, as in, dual-sexed. Non-binary.
Yāall gotta understand there are generation gaps in the language we use and you open yourself up to a LOT of very interesting stories if you stop blocking off the past.
One of the biggest problems with modern community is the idea that (white) western, post 2000s LGBT vocabulary is the only correct way to speak about sexuality and gender.
Like the freak outs under pictures of protests from the 70s-90s because signs and shirts say faggot and dyke and queer, as if these words werenāt a key part of identity and activism.
Beyond just English, I saw a couple people making fun of the term āgender xā in an animeā¦but why would a Japanese production adhere to English standards?
Or the way people talk about pronouns as if every language uses pronouns the same way as English.
Itās justā¦it indicates a mindset that these words are objective and written in stone and western youth culture is always the most correct in a way thatā¦feels icky. Diversity in people includes diversity of language.

Writing about a child rapist did not make Vladimir Nabokov a child rapist.
Writing about an authoritarian theocracy did not make Margaret Atwood an authoritarian theocrat.
Writing about adultery did not make Leo Tolstoy an adulterer.
Writing about a ghost did not make Toni Morrison a ghost.
Writing about a murderer did not make Fyodor Dostoevsky a murderer.
Writing about a teenage addict did not make Isabel Allende a teenage addict.
Writing about dragons and ice zombies did not make George R.R. Martin either of those things.
Writing about rich heiresses, socially awkward bachelors, and cougar widows did not make Jane Austen any of those things.
Writing about people who can control earthquakes did not make N.K. Jemisin able to control earthquakes.
Writing about your favorite characters and/or ships in situations that you choose does not make you a bad person.
Itās a shame that in this day and age these things need to be said.
Or, in short: the narrator =/ the author.
You know what else is a shame? This nowadays tendency of putting on the author the responsibility of teaching their readers morality.
Authors are allowed to write morally ambiguous characters.
Authors are allowed to write downright despicable characters - and guess what they are even allowed to make despicable characters charismatic and likeble and the protagonists of their stories if they wish - because absolute monsters exist only under the bed.
It is not up to the author to spoonfeed the readers about morality and Yes I know this character did a bad thing and I am going going to show it in the story and make other characters call them out of it andā Bullshit.
The authors should be able to write what they want without having thousands of people jumping and their throats claiming to know them, their ideas and their morality based on what they write.
Itās not up to the author to teach you about what is right and what is wrong.
Itās not up to the author to teach you about what is right and what is wrong.

ppl romanticize reading poems like silently drinking hot tea, sitting under a blanket by the fireplace like in a period drama etc. when it actually feels like this
Since this post got notes, let's share one poem which makes us feel this way. I'll start

Idk what bi exclusionist needs to hear this but shitting on pansexuals isnāt going to stop biphobia in the community at all. It isnāt going to make biphobic gay people like you more. It isnt going to stop cishets from viewing us as a phase, cheaters, stepping stones, or people to have threesomes with. It isnāt going to make biphobic gay people stop calling you a breeder or bihet.
Even if you managed to get all pansexuals to drop their identity and identify as bisexual, biphobia will still be here. It will still be very much present. Stop trying to tear pan people down for merely existing. Itās exhausting and you look fucking stupid.
Honestly this applies to how yāall treat aces as well. Itās so very obvious that some of you treat pan and ace people like shit because you want to be validated by the gay people or cishets within your circle. Literally most of yāallās blogs are ālol cringy kweers.ā Never mind the fact that this website, Twitter, and numerous others use to treat US like ācringy kweersā because they thought we werenāt gay enough. Never mind the fact that irl me and other bi folks are STILL treated like ācringy kweersā because weāre either a joke to cishets, or seen as gross to biphobic gay ppl.
Anyway, if youāre bisexual and an exclusionist youāre a fucking disgrace and learned nothing from the shit thatās been going down these past few years. Have fun in this stupid ass attempt to ākeep the community safeā from people who just want to live without judgement of their orientation.
