if you hear about any republican immigrant who voted for trump being forcefully detained & deported and consider it “payback” or anything of that sort because “well they voted for him!”, personal advice you might just wanna log off and go outside

#this!!#the gut feeling of ‘I told you so’ is not unfounded #but we cannot only fight for those who agree with us!!#even if it pisses you off (and it pisses me off sometimes too)

I don’t usually talk politics on here anymore but I am just so disappointed with the rhetoric I’ve been seeing from the left — when are we gonna stop being performative with our activism and start working for change the 3/4 years we sit on our asses?

I’ve just been thinking about this because I feel like there’s a lingering feeling of anger and maybe a cruel vindication towards the right/third party voters/anyone else that may have contributed to Trump’s win. But I just… don’t see the point in that? Of course I totally understand where it’s coming from and I feel it myself too but that kind of thinking doesn’t do shit when it comes to actually trying to fix things.

And also the amount of people saying “I did my part, I don’t care” all you did was fucking vote. Lol. Go out there and actually do something before coming and preaching and acting superior to anyone else; it’s divisive and doesn’t help us actually further our goals.
