Idk, I just think it would be a really cute scene if Kris revealed their eyes and they happened to be deep crimson and all pretty towards someone else in the game...showcasing that they are being really vulnarble (Kris being vulnarble, not the player) with someone. Maybe towards Ralsei, since he is the only other one whose eyes are covered? Kind of like how they both hide things and cover things up for others because they think it's for the best. Or maybe that is just the shipper in me. I could see them doing it to Susie as well, or just anyone they consider close. Even the Knight maybe since they seem to have something (nefarious) going on.

When you speak to Susie in the hot spring and tell Susie that ”Noelle and Susie will work it out” Kris looks away. Some people believe that this is because Kris has a crush on Susie, but I believe they do this because Kris KNOWS the prophecy. That Noelle is the final sacrifice, and they feel guilty about helping this and that is why they look away when they say this. Also the fact that they mumble and try not to tell Susie that they look cute when embarrassed. I believe this has to do with Noelle and that she, or one of her family members, will be the final sacrifice. I think this is also why Susie was so upset about the prophecy. Because it says that Noelle will be sacrificed or something like that. This is why Ralsei wanted to hide it, because he did not want to upset Susie. And somewhere, Ralsei do want things to be different. And Ralsei, he certainly knows about the prophecy. And he knows that Kris is opening fountains. I now believe that the conversations Kris and Ralsei have when the soul goes away to ”think about what Susie is doing” is either 1. Ralsei trying to convince Kris to stop opening more dark fountains in order to stop the roaring or 2. Kris explaining to Ralsei why they are doing what they are doing. That is why Ralsei isn’t telling Susie about it, because they trust Kris and believes in them. That they are a ”hero” despite what they are currently doing. Ralsei even mentions this in the hot spring that ”…even if you do something I don’t agree with. It’s just because, I don’t understand it yet. …right?” Keep in mind that Ralsei believes his entire existence is to serve lightness, so he has a hard time talking against Kris. I also believe the Noelle sacrifice is in conjunction with the game about Kris using the ice mage or is ”used up” in chapter 3. She is used up for the prophecy’s sake. Also, I believe Carol is in all this. She actively gets happy when she learns that Noelle wants to hang out with Kris (in the weird route) and tells Kris (or the SOUL?) that they are always welcome to their home. Why is she in on it? No clue. We’ll just have to see. Would she go beyond to sacrifice her own daughter for the prophecy? I wouldn’t put it past her, if she saw a good enough reason to do with. I think partly why she is so angry when Noelle hands out with Susie is because Susie symbolises going AGAINST the prophecy and pave your own path. And that goes against Carol’s plans with Kris. So why is Kris doing this? I do think the intentions are good, buy misguided. I think Kris works with the knight, and goes to the shelter or communicates by phone to get information on what to do next. Maybe they believe all of this is required to save the world? They aren’t exactly happy to do all of this, and feels bad about it. I believe something will happen that the ”final tragedy” will happen, but Kris will change their mind last minute and try to fix everything they can to try to become the ”hero” in the prophecy that Ralsei believes that they are. I don’t think the prophecy is set in stone and it is flexible. I think that is one of the major points in Deltarune anyway. There is a scene in chapter 5 where the fun gang finds some documentations and papers in which even Ralsei seems confused and upset by, because it goes against what the prophecy says. That the Knight seems to not only appear when the lightners are present (or something like that). I think this shows that maybe, Carol and/or the knight are using the prophecy as a tool for some kind of personal gain? Maybe Carol wants to find Dess? Or something else? Or I could be completely wrong, who knows. It will be fun to see later in chapter 6-7! I do think Noelle is the supposed final sacrifice, but I also believe this could change due to some unforeseen circumstances. Maybe Carol or Rudy will suddenly be the final sacrifice and something else will happen? The prophecy will occur, but just not as they expect. And that things change based on people’s personal choices as much as the prophecy does.

So, hey. A small thing I thought about because of the ending of chapter 5. Since the chapter 5 ending pretty much confirms that Noelle will be back in the dark world chapter 6, and she will get her own room…does that mean that the Noelle plush (if you gave it to her in chapter 2) will also return, and maybe be in her room? Like, I know she threw it away but like they could just make an excuse like ”Hey, we found this plush somewhere in the dark or whatever but we thought you might like it in your room.” or maybe not, but would be fun to see it return as it did for Ralsei and Susie if you gave it to them.
