hippo try really hard to breakdown toxic masculinity and to redefine what being a man means. they are really secure in their masculinity, and aren’t afraid to show it.

to jump to “they have to be in a relationship!!” when seeing zach and nate kiss is to assume that two men can’t platonically kiss.

isn’t that inherently against what they’re working towards? saying that men showing affection is “gay” is enforcing gender roles, and the societal standards of masculinity.

i’m NOT trying to make any statements about their sexuality (and neither should you). I’m just trying to convey that you shouldn’t equate men being not “traditionally masculine” and being gay!
