6. Why do you think SJM connected both Gwyn and Azriel to music?

I already answered this but I love yapping so I'm gonna talk more LMAO

I think that there was no reason for SJM to draw such close connections for music and singing between Gwyn and Azriel if not to show that they have a journey to go on together. Like come on, we already kind of had a hunch that Azriel would be into music and singing because hello, Shadowsinger, but Gwyn absolutely did not have to be given that exact same parallel (and many others) to him, if not to tie them together. We can thank Gwyn for confirming that Azriel does in fact sing, and with SJM saying that we will see Azriel sing in the books, I am very excited to maybe read that scene between them too!

10. Do you have a favourite Gwynriel fic or fanart that was inspired by a song?

Oof I have far too many! But one of my favourites is this piece which was inspired by Chemtrails over the Country Club by Lana Del Ray. It was drawn by @:art.bymikki and commissioned by @trashforazriel!

Her mouth quirked to the side, crinkling the freckles on her nose. “Is that why you came up here?”

Sort of. “I forgot something," he reminded her.

“At two in the morning?”

Pure amusement glittered in her stare. Better than the pain and grief he'd spied a moment before. So he offered her a crooked smile. “I can't sleep without my favorite dagger.”

I love how she showed her sassiness once Azriel showed his. I have a feeling Gwyn clocked Azriel lying in the first scene (nothing gets past her) but she was willing to let it go until Azriel's cheeky side came out. From then on? Instant call out.

This commission blends three of my obsessions together: Gwynriel, Mermaids and Pirates, and The Little Mermaid 💖

Doesn't Gwyn look gorgeous as a mermaid, and Azriel look dashing as a pirate? @luciaarandart really outdone herself with this STUNNING masterpiece 😍

Now, you may be wondering.. how does The Little Mermaid fit?

Well, I love the moment when Ariel gains back her voice from it being trapped in a shell, and Prince Eric is broken from the spell. Ariel then ends up turning into a mermaid and saving Eric, and vice versa. I have a headcanon for Gwynriel that, like Ariel, Gwyn's voice + her nymph side might end up being the key to saving Azriel somehow.

For @emerieweekofficial day 4: Strength

The Chariot is about defying limitations. Throughout ACOSF, we watch Emerie overcome emotional (childhood trauma, societal expectations) and physical (scarred wings) obstacles through sheer determination, focus and willpower. Her Carynthian title is proof of victory through hard work.

While Strength is another Major Arcana, @lovelymoonflower1, Missiemei, and I felt the Chariot uniquely fit Emerie.
