I know it's more nuanced than this but I think having a hard policy of thinking anyone who genuinely hates one group of queer people for their identity might as well hate all of us and thus I should block any queerphobic queer person I see can do a lot to save you from believing anything exclusionists say.

I once said something along the lines of "why does everyone assume that every gnc cis man is an egg" and was harassed for it and sarcastically told that obviously the treatment of cis men should be our biggest concern and that I didn't know anything about egg culture (I do). You do realize that gnc people are queer too, right? You realize I can concern myself with "smaller" problems, because I love gnc people and am concerned about their well-being? You realize that telling people they must be trans because of their presentation is just as bad as telling someone must be cis for the same reasons?

I'm never going to shut up about how shitty the queer community treats gender non-conforming people, especially gender non-conforming men.

Like, what does it say that any other gender identifier doesn't?

"I'm transfem and TMA", that's redundant. Of course you're gonna be impacted by transmisogyny, you're transfem.

If anything, it's just a useless way to try to deny that non-transfems CAN be impacted by transmisogyny.

"I'm a trans man and I was thought to be a trans woman when I went in the women's washroom, and I got attacked"

"Ehrm, well actually, you're TME so that never happened"

It adds nothing to transfeminist theory, takes away from serious discussion on transmisogyny, and is incredibly reductive and redundant.

TMA/TME tells you nothing that knowing labels doesn't already.

Yeah there's just folks who appear human and come from families of humans but aren't human themselves. A character from a show could pass you on the street and you wouldn't even know it. Your local librarian could literally be a water snake. Your classmate could be a divine being and you would still know them like any other person there.

You can explore dark themes and be normal btw. You can have incest/pdophilia in a story and show how disgusting it is instead of acting like it's another cutsie ship. You can do that. You can depict things and be normal about it. You can write a story about grooming and molestation and incest and WHATEVER but maybe NOT write it the same way as you write a normal relationship. If you write something like that and you think your audience won't leave disturbed, youre not doing it right.

It should always be depicted as disgusting. Because it's always disgusting. Even if it's complex, or confusing, it's disgusting.
