I fail to see how this is racist. It would be racist if I were being serious, because then I’d be stating that I believe all one needs to do to become a certain race is get some plastic surgery. Though seemingly this seems to be the stance of transwomen regarding gender. I’d take no offense to them if they didn’t call themselves female. Although I think wearing makeup and playing dress-up is inherently boring and a waste of time that could be much better spent, I don’t fault the many men that take a liking to it, nor do I have anything against homosexuals. My problem begins when these men want to say that they are female, and furthermore, say it to my face then call me an intolerant hate mongerer when I tell them that indeed they are not. How am I supposed to respect them if they cant respect me? I will never know what it’s like to live life in America as a minority and I would never pretend like I could. Transwomen will never know what it’s like to live life as a biological female and I find it offensive that they think surgery and clothes can do that for them. Again, I would take no offense to them if they just came up with a different name for themselves. Then i would just consider them like I do furries or whatever. People that have to go to extreme, ridiculous measures to feel ‘happy.’
