egalitarian: someone who supports equality by pretending that equality already exists

The jocks throw parties all the time and refuse to invite nerds. The nerds, feeling excluded, decide to throw a single party just for them. The jocks complain about not being invited to that one party, even though they are invited to all other parties. The jocks believe that the nerds throwing one party for themselves because they feel excluded is just as bad as the jocks excluding them. The jocks demand that the nerds invite everyone to their party, ignoring the obvious fact that if they really wanted a party for everyone, they can just start inviting the nerds to their parties.

My Thanksgiving was great: my brother brought up social issues again, specifically Ferguson, but it moved onto other things as well. But it's okay, 'cause he absolutely sucks at debate. I pretty much mocked him by saying things like: "Waaaaaa! But what about the men-folk?" and "*sob* I'm so oppressed! Look at me in all my maleness and whiteness and heterosexualness-- I am so oppressed!" It's so much worse knowing he makes $130,000 a year, and he's complaining about how much harder he had to work to get that far than the women and black people. I don't know why he insists on bringing up these kinds of things at family gatherings and holidays-- it's taboo, and he knows I'll take the bait, so it turns into full-blown screaming at each other. I love my brother, but he's kind of a puerile dick. He's also completely ignorant.
