Translucency as a material concept pushed to its extreme by the architect Peter Zumthor in the Bruder-Klaus-Feldkapelle. The relationship between light and matter is no longer a question of the degree of transparency, but a plastic and symbolic one, mobilizing a phenomenology of materiality and a material imagination to question architecture as a sculptural and ritual experience.
