Non-binary people can have dysphoria in a way that makes them transmasculine.
Non-binary people can have dysphoria is a way that makes them transfeminine.
Non-binary people can have dysphoria in a way that makes them without a gender or as a mix of them.
And non-binary people can call themselves trans, but they don’t have to call themselves trans if they don’t want to.
Non-binary pronouns are valid.
Dysphoria isn’t something that only binary trans people deal with.
There is more than one way to be non-binary.
ey/em?
got some questions about ey/em pronouns on my ig so I made some lil info posts
thought I might as well post them here too ^_^
transmed rhetoric has been so etched into our brains that we feel the need to constantly label ourselves and that gender identities beyond male and female are invalid and strange. fuck that
use neopronouns. present feminine, masculine, androgynous, however you want. use "weird" identities to describe yourself. make up your own identity. you do you. you decide who you are, not the people in your life, not someone on the internet.
whatever makes you comfortable? that's you. it doesn't matter if that changes over time. doesn't matter if you go by new pronouns or a new name every day! it's still you.
under no circumstances should you try to shove yourself into a box that you don't fit into just because someone on the internet called you a trender.
ive been reading a book that basically explains how so-called “brain differences” between the genders is the result of gendered socialization and not the cause of it. i honestly expected the book to be very cis-centric but its actually the opposite, the author stresses that testimony from trans ppl is actually indispensable because we’ve, in a sense, “lived both experiences”
more cis feminists should have this mindset
one of the first examples that she uses to introduce her point about how perception by others can shape a person’s performance actually uses a trans woman. it explains that as a certain trans woman became to be seen as a woman more and more frequently, the ppl arond her eventually started viewing her as being ill equipped for tasks that they did not bother her about pre-transition. eventually she even found herself underperforming in these tasks herself.
whats the name of the book
Delusions of Gender by Cordelia Fine
Here’s a pdf, babes <3
I knew it was this book before I’d finished reading the first two lines. Honestly this book is indispensible if you want to debunk any gender determinism people claim is science. I can’t recommend it enough.
She’s written a new one! It won the Royal Society prize for science book of the year, and it’s called Testosterone Rex, and it is excellent.
(Bonus: it’s making old white men really really mad.)
(Bonus bonus: I am myself a neuroscientist, and the old white men mentioned above – who are not – could not have missed the point harder if they’d actively tried. Which. Maybe?)
Thanks to moon-boob for providing a PDF, but please, buy the book if you have the disposable income. SUPPORT THIS AUTHOR!!

Empirical research shows bathroom predator concerns are baseless.
“Our side concocted the ‘bathroom safety’ male predator argument as a way to avoid an uncomfortable battle over LGBT ideology, and still fire up people’s emotions.”
COLOUR ME FUCKING SURPRISED
I want people, in particular cis people, to read this and understand what it means.
It means that these groups, these organizations, are so Hellbent on getting trans people outlawed, hurt, and killed, that they will openly lie and admit to lying to stir up emotions. They have no qualms with actively lying and distorting reality.
They have no qualms about misleading people. Actively lying to people.
They don’t care how immoral their actions may be, how much their rhetoric flies in the face of reality, as long as it reaches their end goal of the destruction of “transgender ideology.”
MassResistance and all their ilk want us dead, and should never be trusted, not even for the most trivial of matters. They should be rejected, reviled, despised, because nothing they do is in service of anything but hatred and evil.
And in case anyone actually doubts this, and wants to cry “fake news,” here’s MR’s actual article. Should it get deleted, here’s an archived version. Some choice bits under the cut, if you want to see how vile these people really are.

I’ve found myself wondering “Where are the trans people of color?” a million times.
In my life, I’m often the only person of color in a room of trans people. I’ve noticed it is harder to find pictures and reviews of products (like packers) in the non-white skin tones. I see fewer pictures of POC post-surgery, and fewer people of color documenting their changes on HRT. Selfies of trans people, binary or non-binary, tend to skew towards the white and AFAB side. Hopefully, this blog can provide a sense of community and inclusion for all trans people of color.
This blog is a place where we can answer that question. Where are the trans people of color? We’re right here! We’re talking about how our day went, about our families, about coming out, about our pets, about our transitions, about our ups and downs. We are here. We exist. This is a new blog for TPOC (trans people of color) to submit selfies of themselves! Anyone and everyone is allowed to follow us, all support is welcome, but only TPOC can send selfies.
Please reblog and spread the word!
To any trans POC following this blog, here’s a new blog specifically for you!
can i have autigender positivity please
Lee says:
I personally identify as genderqueer and not Autigender, but some Autistic people identify as Autigender because they feel that their autism created how they relate to their gender identity or that the two are intertwined enough that you can’t separate them.
There is even a link between gender dysphoria and autism, although the research isn’t totally solid yet. I read in the WPATH-SOC that people on the spectrum are actually more likely to be trans or gender non conforming: “The prevalence of autism spectrum disorders seems to be higher in clinically referred, gender dysphoric children than in the general population (de Vries, Noens, Cohen-Kettenis, van Berckelaer-Onnes, & Doreleijers, 2010).”
I think it’s because a large part of gender identity and gender roles are socially constructed and we have issues picking up social cues, so we might not always notice the way others are performing their gender and then we don’t internalize it to apply it to ourselves, but that’s just my personal theory as an Autistic person myself.
I think there’s also an overlap where a lot of Autistic people also have alexithymia, and if you have a hard time describing your feelings in general, it can also be difficult to recognize and describe your gender feelings.
Anyhow, identifying as Autigender is valid but we’re really more of an information/advice blog than a positivity blog- the Other trans resource blogs page lists some positivity blogs that you could send an ask to if you’re looking for traditional positivity posts, and we have a Self-validation link if you’re looking for validation.
Ren says:
I should point out that the intersection of autism and transness is one of my research interests - I wrote my undergraduate thesis on it, and I’m continuing to do more work on it in grad school! I can’t share my thesis, since it’ll be published eventually, but I can certainly share a few sources that would be of interest to you. :)
This is a bit long and a bit niche, so I’ll put it under a cut!

"i was a transtrender" no you werent. you were just questioning your identity and then you decided that wasn't for you. that's a fucking healthy thing to do. fuck off lmao
Questioning is:
-healthy
-common
-normal
Questioning isn't:
-an excuse to be transphobic towards often young individuals
how are there 4000 notes on this post
Neopronouns are not a “tumblr fad”. Gender neutral pronouns other than they/them have existed in the English language for actual centuries. They are not harmful to the trans community.
To those who are against neopronouns, you’re acting against the evolution of a language and acting against something that’s been around for far longer than you’ve been alive.
To those who use neopronouns, your pronouns are not harmful. You do not deserve to be made to feel ashamed for your pronouns.
Op you can’t just drop this and expect us to not ask what the old school gender neutral pronouns were!!! How on earth are all my nb friends gonna pick the dapper pronouns????
I found these doing VERY minimal research:
•Ey/Em/Eir (1975, created by Christine M. Elverson)
•E/Em/Es (1890, created by James Rogers)
•Per/Pers/Perself (1976, Used in a novel by Marge Piercy)
•Thon/Thos/Thonself (1858, Created by Charles Crozat Converse)
•Ve dates back to 1980
•Xe dates back to 1973
•In 1789, William Marshall confirmed the use of both“a” and “ou” as a replacement for he/she/they and even i.
•Co/Coself (1970, created by Mary Orovan)
•Ne (1850, appeared in print in 1884)
•En (1868, mentioned by Richard Grant White)
•Han/Hans/Hanself (1868)
•Un/Uns/One (1868)
•Se/Sis/Sim (1884)
•Hesh/Hiser/Himer (1879)
•Hi/Hes/Hem (1884)
•Le/Lis/Lim (1884)
•Hersh/Herm (1884)
•Ip/Ips (1884)
•Hae/Haes(Hais)/Haim (1884)
•Tha/Thare/Them(Thon) (1885)
•Zyhe/Zyhe’s/Zyhem (1885)
•Ir/Iro/Im (1888)
•De/Der/Dem (1888)
•Hor/Hors/Horself (1890)
•Ith/Iths (1890)
Sources for these as well as many others that I didn’t add due to the list getting too long can be found here.
An interesting note is that in the modern language a lot more people use neopronouns then you would expect!
•Yo is a majorly African American pronoun coined in 2004 and used by Middle School students In Baltimore, Maryland.
•Fae/Faer, coined in 2014, is used by 4.3% of participants in the 2019 Gender Census.
Plus a vast variety of newly coined pronouns that you will have seen commonly floating around!
Neopronouns have existed and been recorded for a long time, they are not a new concept, nor are they mogai or a tumblr concept. They are not modern, there have just been many modern adaptions to already existing pronouns.

nonbinary is a complete gender. you can be just nonbinary. you really don’t have to align yourself any more specifically than that
you don’t have to find the perfect just right word for your experience, you don’t have to parse out what named gender you’re closest to on a spectrum, what subset of nonbinary most closely reflects your truth, weigh your masculinity against your femininity against your androgyny to see what the total comes out to, you don’t have to label your gender by its relation or opposition to the gender you were assigned
all those things are great for exploring your gender & if you can find a home in them more power to you
but you don’t have to. you really can just be nonbinary
it IS possible to get treatment if you're nonbinary. it may be difficult, and most insurances need a gender dysphoria diagnosis- but the literal definition of gender dysphoria says nothing about needing to be binary to have it. it's more than just possible to be diagnosed with dysphoria and nonbinary, thousands of nonbinary people are diagnosed and treated, and you can be too.
it may be extremely hard and painful, but it's possible. don't ever give up hope- What helped me most of all was a really good therapist (who helps you fight) and maybe you need one too. it took a long fucking time but I'm finally getting the treatment I need. it's even possible for unaligned people (like me) to get treated.... it can take a long time depending on your situation but it's not impossible.
don't give up. there is hope.
(plz trumeds do not take this post as an invite to whine thank u)
