The annoying thing with teeny tiny brushes is you need to wash them practically every two seconds when painting with #acrylics. 🤷🏻‍♀️👩🏻‍🎨 I’m trying to finish up this painting to include in my solo exhibition at the library I’ll be setting up tomorrow. Yay! The last custom block for my #AnneofGreenGablesChristmas quilt is all done! I used @ellisandhiggs wreath pillow pattern that you can find in her shop for my last block. I did a little math and made the block smaller to fit the 11” blocks I’ve been making. Anne and Gilbert wrote to each other often, so I made this envelope block (pattern from @ayumills book #patchworkplease) and added some embroidery 🧵 to it. I remembered this pattern after seeing @faithessenburg sew up so many Christmas letters with this block! Christmas pillowcases are taking over my bed!! The Grinch one is this year’s addition that I made for our daughter Lyla. I knew I wanted red for the side but didn’t find anything that worked great in my stash at first. Then I found the teeny tiny heart print and barely had enough. It was one of the very first fabrics I ever bought! Today is on the Anne quilt is a Christmas stocking block. (Made up pattern) We caved and finally had these stockings knit for us (thanks @simplyservinghk!!) a couple years backs because I said there’s no way I can learn and somehow knit us a set before our kids move out. 😝 Though learning how to knit is on my bucket list, next to refining my crochet work, maybe I’ll attempt one in the far off future?? Because my sewing/art space really needs more supplies and projects on top of all the other supplies and projects currently in there. It’s also so much fun this year because we have an actual, yes actual, fireplace to hang our stockings from. ☺️🎄🎅🏻 P.S.
