Welcome! We made this blog with the purpose of providing transition advice to those with nontraditional physical, social, and mental transition goals such as transIDs, xenogenders, plurals, therians, ficto/factkin, and more! We are very interested in body modification especially.
We want this blog to be as inclusive as possible, so we have no DNI and no public discourse stances as we feel it's irrelevant. Just because we offer advice does not necessarily mean we "support" that label or transition type; we believe conversion therapy does not work and people will continue to see themselves as they do and try to transition regardless of strangers' opinions, so they should have access to resources to make their transition safe and fulfilling regardless.
Requests are always open! This is a hobby for us so it may take us a while to get to yours. If we can't think of anything (which is unlikely!) we will still post requests so the community can comment ideas. We like to think we think very outside-the-box though and hope we can find something useful for everyone!
We are also trialing making shopping lists for beings with themes like clothes, transition items, food, and more! Please be specific in what category of items you want, and you can include a price range if you'd like.
No hate or discourse, we'll just delete it so don't bother ^-^
Please specify in your ask if you need image descriptions, plain text, easyread text, or tone tags in our response and we will do them!
FAQ and more under cut!
Definitions
Just so we are all working off the same understanding, here is how we define some terms.
trans- : being or wanting to be/be seen as something you do not (/pretransition, did not) fit the societal definition of
cis- : being/becoming something in a way that aligns with society's definition of what the thing is. this does not necessarily mean you "pass" or do not have dysphoria/euphoria related to this aspect, and we can still help with cisIDs.
tris- : being both trans and cis in some way for the same aspect, such as:
- being transID and then becoming cisID (ex transdoctor gets their medical license)
- being a headmate that is cisID in a body that is transID (or vice versa)
- etcetera!
importantly: being cisID is not more valid, serious, or genuine than being transID. trans people are what they say they are. we can't control the labels you use but please think about why you use cis or trans and try not to be transphobic.
FAQ
1) What about transharmfuls?
We will still provide transition advice as best we are able, but we will never advocate or suggest causing nonconsensual harm to others. We are also of the opinion that transharmfuls, especially transbigots, should be treated as their ID, including NIN and etc. We consider it mislabeling/mistreatment to give support and positivity for transidentities you would condemn if they were cis. That being said this blog is against discourse and we won't comment on this or label people as transharmful if they don't use that label themselves.
2) What if people are hurting themselves?
We believe everyone has the right to do whatever they want to themselves as we believe in bodily autonomy.
3) How do I know if I'm [x]/what label should I use/etc?
This blog is more for transition advice than labels, we are not super familiar with a lot of terms and likely won't be much help. we suggest looking at the transID, mogai, and plural wikis, archive blogs, and coining terms yourself or requesting them from others online. That being said, we still offer transition advice to those who don't know what to call themselves yet!
4) Can you do [x]?
Non-exhaustive list of services we don't offer:
- making icons, backgrounds, blog themes, etc
- coining terms and making/adjusting flags
- recommendations for/against specific medical providers or body mod artists as we are only familiar with our specific area and we don't want to doxx ourselves or be unfair to those in other locations
- promos for other blogs or donations
5) Who are you?
We prefer to remain anonymous so the focus can be on helping others. We are plural, you may use any pronouns, nicknames, or titles for us. We are an adult.

- seek affirmation! read and make positivity posts, emphasize your pronouns and gender identity, use flags online and irl, correct people if they misgender you and it is safe to do so, etc.
- join transfem communities on tumblr, discord, reddit, etc! you can lurk if you're scared, but remember that you don't need to out yourself in order to read posts or talk to people. oftentimes eggs also are lurking in these spaces and it's expected/tolerated by the community.
- be wary of stereotypes of what transfems enjoy, do, and act like. base your behavior off yourself and other transfems, not people looking in from the outside. also understand that transfems are not a monolith and have a wide variety of experiences and opinions! your interests are transfem interests because you are transfem, even if they don't match the stereotypes people make!
- wear overtly feminine clothing, shop in the women's section even for things that are very similar between mens/womens (like socks or plain t shirts), seek out underwear/bathing suits that have wide gussets (the center crotch part), wear feminine accessories like bracelets, hair clips, necklaces, etc!
- transfems can have any genitals in any configuration! surgery options that might appeal to you include: vaginoplasty, labioplasty (creates similar scars to a neovagina), hysterectomy/oophorectomy (removal of uterus/ovaries respectively), metoidioplasty (creates a small penis after bottom growth from testosterone), or phalloplasty with optional vagina sparing
- hormones! regardless of the hormones dominant in your endocrine system, (almost) all people make testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone, and can supplement them for various beneficial effects.
if you are interested in taking estrogen, most hormonal birth control is estrogen and can be easy to get prescribed (you can also skip the placebo pills they include that allow you to have a period, those are not medically necessary). estrogen can cause periods to stop, prevent pregnancy, soften skin, promote breast growth, and may make fat rearrange in a more feminine way.
progesterone is also commonly prescribed, though it is intended for people trying to conceive, not prevent pregnancy, so it will be difficult to get prescribed both at once unless you're willing to lie to different doctors. progesterone can help improve mood and minimize mood swings, improve breast growth + fat redistribution, and helps prevent uterine cancer.
testosterone is also an option, and is commonly taken by transfems topically to let them continue having erections or prevent painful penile atrophy. if you are interested in a topical testosterone, you must make sure it is specifically topical testosterone cream, you cannot safely put testosterone gel on your genitals and it will cause systemic effects. testosterone can be prescribed for either sexual dysfunction or gender dysphoria. topical testosterone will increase clitoral/penile size and strength of erections. you can also take systemic testosterone using injections or gel for effects like increased sexual sensitivity, vaginal dryness/atrophy that may require dilation similar to a neovagina, and vocal changes.
if you are perimenopausal and/or have had ovaries removed, both estrogen and progesterone are commonly prescribed for HRT. if you aren't able to get them prescribed for whatever reason, DIY HRT options for trans women exist that can help you buy it online (it is not illegal to possess or buy estrogen or progesterone, but it is illegal to possess or buy testosterone without a prescription because it's commonly used by bodybuilders/athletes). please try to get them through the medical system first and then move to DIY sources, so people who cannot get them through the medical system can use the resources they need!
- you could also try forcefem kink play/hypnosis, whether sexual or not, for affirmation and helping to change the way you think and speak
I would be interested in doing 'shopping lists' or similar for people's types/transid's as well as advice I think.... like specific links to clothes or stim toys or products to help with transition. feel free to send in these type of requests!
- change your appearance often, using things like colored contacts, wigs/hair dye, piercings/fake piercings, drawn-on tattoos, and makeup to change your face shape. focusing more on physical characteristics (especially ones that are harder to change like tattoos) can help people see you as a shapeshifter.
- alternatively, changing your aesthetics, wearing very different outfits, and changing your voice and cadence day-to-day can also help, even if you can't change more physical characteristics
- having a few preset outfits/personhoods can help especially day-to-day so you don't have to invent a new persona every day (eg. pink wig + contacts wearing dresses or black wig and emo makeup). it can also help to build an appearance around characters or IRL people, or pick a single item that inspires you and build around that.
- learn about shapeshifter history and culture, and maybe use a name and/or pronouns based upon that
- if you transform into animals, plants, or objects, both changing your appearance and behavior in accordance with that can help (eg. relaxing in the sun, doing quadrobics, moving your body in a more inhuman way). if you have specific animals or monsters you transform into the therian/transspecies communities often have a lot of helpful information!
- reality shifting can also help alleviate dysphoria and explore your transformation capabilities (if safe for you to do so)
I wanna start this by sayin I don't ever encourage hurtin others in yer pursuit of transitioning, so please be responsible. Won't be usin my usual cadence fer this fer accessibility. Onto the tips
Schizophrenia is a complex disorder that is characterized by delusions, hallucinations, disordered speech, disorganized or catatonic behavior and negative symptoms, and you only need a couple to qualify, but I honestly recommend looking into the less well known symptoms too. I'll be going over what these mean and what they mean for your transition.
First things first: schizophrenia starts manifesting in late teens to early adulthood.
If you're between the ages of around 19-25 you're at the prime age for this, but there's also such things as childhood onset schizophrenia which can manifest before 13, and between 13-18 is considered early onset schizophrenia.
Basically, you can develop it at any time, but it's not nearly as common in minors. Keep this in mind when it comes to transition timing.
Okay onto symptoms!!!
Delusions: delusions are deeply engrained false beliefs that cannot be shaken even when provided proof. I just wanna start this by saying... Many are really fucking mundane.
One of the reasons I didn't notice sooner was because none of them actually impacted my behavior, it was just "oh the world is a simulation, anyways I wonder what I'll do for dinner" or "everyone around me is fake but that's fine I still love them".
This isn't always the case of course, but keep that in mind.
Encourage absurdist or magical thinking, focus on tricking yourself into believing things you would otherwise disregard as irrational. Defend these false beliefs and refuse to change your mind even when others provide evidence contrary.
Some common places to start are: the world is a simulation, someone in my life isn't real (capgras delusion) (make sure the recipient is consenting please), the people in my life want to hurt/kill me and are conspiring against me (persecutory delusions), I have magical powers others don't such as future vision or am being followed by a magical entity (optional: I can't tell others about it because it will endanger them), someone is trying to send me messages through mundane media like the news or online posts, etc.
Hallucinations: hallucinations are simply experiencing sensations through any of the senses that aren't actually there.
Unless paired with delusions, people who experience hallucinations are often able to pick them out as hallucinations. Imagine yourself seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling or tasting things that aren't there.
You can practice with actual sensations like using a feather on your skin while not looking or having someone else do it then taking it away when you look, or using strong scents and imagining the source not being there.
Very common hallucinations are: shadow people (often in the corner of your vision), feeling like bugs are crawling on you, sounds of banging or opening/closing doors when nobody is awake/around, or seeing horrors beyond your imagination doing mundane things (/silly).
Disordered speech: this isn't nearly as talked about when discussing schizophrenia, at least not by name. It's kindly referred to as "word salad" but it can also be classed as a thought disorder. You can practice speaking with different types and seeing what feels most right for you.
There are way too many types to list here, so I really recommend doing your own research, but some common types are: replacing words with similar sounding ones or using incorrect versions of words, loose word association that can sound like regular speech but when listening closely it makes no sense, not being able to speak at all, or talking in extreme abstracts and metaphors that might only make sense to you.
Disorganized or catatonic behavior: there are two extremes here: acting out violently, strangely, or inappropriately- or not acting at all.
Catatonic behavior is self explanatory, it can be things like not moving at all, being very easy to physically move and manipulate during these periods or the opposite of resisting all movement, being unaware of the world around you, etc.
Disorganized behavior is a bit more abstract, though. It consists of aggressive or childlike behavior, pacing or making bizarre facial expressions, having a flat affect which I'll talk about more in a bit, etc.
You can practice any of these on your own and exhibit them around others once you get the hang of it.
Finally, negative symptoms: this one is a bit odd, since it can often be mistaken for depression or ADHD symptoms.
It consists of struggling to manage and keep up with daily tasks, keeping a clean environment, significant changes in sleeping habits, poor hygiene, lack of motivation, and more.
One thing with this is a blunted or flat affect which is the inability to emote physically strongly or at all, like having a monotone voice and not smiling.
You can practice this in a mirror or with someone willing to help you transition and point out when you emote.
You're already there with the rest if you experience depression, honestly.
Uhmm I hope this was helpful! It's based on my experiences for the most part

foods and drinks ! eatting foods that beings chrono your age would can help a ton and personally as a 2yr old gives me tons of euphoria ! for younger beings id recommend goldfish / small crackers , milk , apple juice , gummys , babyfood and yogurt melts , most soft foods , and cut up fruit ! for big kids most food is okay but think about preferences , like a 7 year old may have an obsession with dino nuggies or a 10 year old may just love pizza !
clothes ! clothes are one of my favorite things to give me euphoria . i love anything baggie , wearing my cg/dads clothes , onsies , stuff with cute designs , and anything comfortable . this greatly depends on your presentation and preferences and anything can be kiddo clothes because you ARE a kiddo ! if you need guidance most stuff with bright / pastel colors , animals especially dinosaurs or unicorns , things with glitter or sequins , jorts , and cute pjs always give a younger energy to them ! most whimsical , whimsy twee , kidcore , and cutecore type outfits can also be a good place to start so looking on pintrest and blogs can give great inspo !
interests ! this heavily depends on your preferences but i personally love doll videos , surprise blind box unboxing videos , kids shows or shows with cute styles even if they contain adult subjects , i collect toys and figures , and i love plushies . see what media , hobbies , ect you can get into that someone chrono that age may enjoy .
speach ! younger beings may babble , mix words , use less complex words , ramble about their interests , and often have higher voices . you can achieve this through voice training and making an effort to use smaller words . im personally 2 so i babble , squeal , and i really only talk to my cg and its in smaller form sentences most the time about my interests .
behavior ! this greatly depends on your age but looking at developmental milestones, and social milestones of that group can help give a place to start . on a more brod scale alot of younger beings will just walk up to people to socialize asking to be friends without fear , they also have less regard for social cues and norms often . significantly younger beings ( 1-4 ) may cry often and be less anxious to show big feelings , they also like being held often and can be clingy to caregivers / beings they are close to . beings 5-7 may want to be less clingy with caregivers and may come off more independent but still need help of course , they may form hobbies like sports or arts . beings 7-10 may enjoy video games , form more complex music tastes , want to hangout with friends more , and come off far more independent and can even do alot of tasks ( chores , making small snacks , and even cooking with assistance ) . beings 10+ are far more independent , they may have similar hobbies and interests to those 7-10 . they can do most tasks , they value social connections aton , they may be getting into slightly more teen / tween music and media aswel .

bodycare & hygiene ! this can make a lot of transage beings feel dysphoric , myself included . something that helped me a lot is using kids body soap and i use monday hair products so they are pink as i need the extra hair care, but the more mature looking bottles can make me feel uncomfortable . using kids products or things with cute packaging, can help it feel a lot less uncomfortable , for things where this isn't an option repotting things can work , ive put moisturizers into different packaging before or swapped bottles of soap .
makeup ! makeup techniques to make your face smaller , eyes bigger , or whatever you're going for and it can help a ton to look younger ! When I do my make up as a goth little i prefer to keep the darker elements, but I try to keep my face small with contour and my eyes big . It's really just about experimenting with what helps you the most , there are tons of tutorials online especially tiktok and youtube .

I hope this is helpful kiddo! 🌷🥞🎁🧸
• try to stay off the internet/"adult" spaces online (not just inappropriate for children but also discourse, advanced concepts, things you don't have to worry about). to interrupt "doomscrolling" or just feeling stuck on your phone/social media, set timers or screen time limits! for example every 15-30 minutes, switch activities/apps on your phone, switch from social media to a phone game, or spend time doing something physical. having a show on in the background while you play or make something can make you feel more stimulated without causing screen fatigue!
• if you are able, have friends, mutuals, family or your partner treat you as your age and even gently "remind" you of your age if you're getting grouchy
• a big part of toddlers lives are out of their control, and having structure and specific things you do can help your brain remember who you are and that you don't have adult expectations for how to act by removing the expectation to decide what to do. if you have a caregiver they can help you arrange your time and space to best suit you!
• having a schedule! this helps you grow and learn and also stick to things that make sense for you. here's an example to get you started:
8am: wake up, brush teeth, take meds, change clothes
9am: eat breakfast!
10am: structured activity! make a craft or art piece, play with toys, make up a story and tell it to your stuffies, etc!
11am: play outside!
12am: lunch!
1pm: research and learn something new based on your interests!
2-4pm: nap time! it's important to take naps, it helps your brain remember things and recover!
5pm: watch a movie or a few episodes of a show!
6pm: dinner time:)
7pm: nighttime routine! brush teeth and wash face, put on pjs, get comfy!
8pm: bedtime:)
• food ideas! cutting food into tiny pieces so you don't choke, applesauce, rice or corn puffs, spaghetti-o's, mini raviolis, and star noodles, rice, mashed potatoes, sandwiches cut into pieces, cheese, lunch meat and crackers, cookies, fruit pieces, grapes and berries, juice, ice cream, steamed broccoli, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese. having someone else prepare your food or meal prep for you can be helpful! you can also watch parent vlogs or tiktoks to see what they're feeding their toddler and copy that!
• keep plenty of pacis, teethers, and toys around, even when you go out, to stim with and regress
• watch media made for young kids, both movies/shows and also games, social media accounts, youtube channels, etc! if you find yourself getting frustrated or overwhelmed on social media check in on your favorite regressors, toy reviewers, artists, etc and use that as a jumping off point into another activity
Tip: if you have triggers or things that upset you and make you feel older than you are, be very generous with blocking tags and people. if you want to see it for whatever reason you can always seek it out specifically, but it helps avoid getting randomly upset and throwing off your whole day. remember that you are not an adult, you don't have to engage with things like discourse, sex, and politics, and it does not make you a bad person to hide those things from yourself!
If you have any, tips for transspecies beings who want to be more "feral" in mind?
Like less thinking, more moving on instincts
Sorry of it's too specific
This is a little vague but I hope it can lead you in the right direction!
- research your species/animals in general to learn about their behavior, noises, etc. intentionally incorporating your species' noises and body language into your speech or reactions can eventually make them instinctual
- spend time in nature (preferably your habitat but anything is better than nothing) and focus on everything around you, reframe your thoughts to what is important to your species (does an open field feel safe or exposed? does hearing a footstep in the woods make you feel scared or excited? what parts of a lake are best to swim in?)
- after this, reinforce these thought patterns even when you're in more human-centered environments (noting where exits to a space are, prioritizing being in sunbeams, being aware of the humans moving around you, etc)
- first-person videogames about your type or similar can be really helpful as well to help your brain adjust to seeing things from your species' perspective and finding food/shelter/comfort/etc that's appropriate for you
- learning meditation to stop overthinking and stop more human thoughts you want to move away from may be helpful too. try to empty your mind as much as possible, then do species-affirming activities or spend time in nature. (basic meditation youtube videos are good for this)
If you know your species and want to share I could give more specific advice too!

Tips for how to devote yourself, from a fellow transdevotee! <3 For those with and without deities to devote themselves to! These are all just ideas though, and none of it is mandatory; you're still a devotee even if you don't do any of these things!
I. Finding the object of your devotion!
⊹˖ ⤑ If you do not have something or someone to devote yourself to, there are still plenty of things you can worship!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ What about popular deities? Be it Greek, Roman, Egyptian, or Abrahamic, there are plenty of deities that you could research in-depth!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Concepts are another good stand-in! Try to sum it up in a single word for the entity (ex. Justice, Chaos, Eternity, Beauty). You can decide what this means to you, how you worship them, etc.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Not a popular choice, but you can also always worship yourself in some way! Be it your future self, your ideal self, etc; this will of course focus moreso on what you personally find important in your worship, but it can be very good for your mental and physical wellbeing (or very bad, if that's what you want).
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Most popular though is searching for an individual of some kind, usually a deity within the transid space. However, while you're waiting, why don't you try to think about what you're looking for in your object of worship? Worship them even if you do not know them intimately yet; do your best to be your best self for them, to make yourself into what you believe they would want, to worship them before they even know it! Essentially, skip to the worship steps <3
II. Acts of Worship!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Altars are a big one! This can be done in any way; either physically creating an altar in your space, or a digital one within Minecraft, Roblox, or any other building/sandbox game!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Journal important experiences that you have with your object of devotion! Detail which rituals you do, how they go, any dreams or thoughts you have about them, any signs that you receive from them. This is not only devotion, but can help to look back on later when you're struggling <3
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Create a playlist for your object of devotion! Include music that reminds you of them, of your relationship, of their divinity, etc; this one is very personal and up to your own interpretation!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Create things with your object of devotion in mind; moodboards, stimboards, artwork, pinterest boards, anything you're good at! Include themes and symbols that represent or remind you of them, try to think about what they like. It's important to focus on what their preferences are rather than your own; you are devoted to them, after all!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Wear their favorite colors or colors that symbolize them often, to constantly remind yourself of them! If you have items or scents that remind you of them, wear or carry those with you as well! You can anoint yourself with any body spray/perfume/cologne/oils that may remind you of them. If they have any symbols, draw them on your skin or on paper and carry it with you!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Speak/write in a way that makes your devotion clear! You can give them titles (ex. my God, my Lord, your Eternity, your Divinity), and use these whenever possible. If you have a more superior/inferior dynamic, then when discussing your object of devotion, capitalize their name, titles, and pronouns! It shows your respect and their importance in your life <3 I'm also a big sucker for using metaphors whenever possible, however this is up to you
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Write poems, love letters, or prayers for them! This is probably the most common one I see, but it's because it's incredibly effective; tell them how wonderful they are, how often you think of them, tell them about anything and everything!
III. Extra!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Devotion doesn't always mean losing yourself; you can mold yourself into the picture-perfect devotee, but you're no lesser for keeping your own perspectives, ideals, etc. You are being a part of something larger. Let your identity shift shape in service of your devotion as you wish; you should strive to be a better version of yourself, but never someone else entirely (the way I see it, anyway)!
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ⤑ Using mantras can work wonders to train your psyche! Some of my favorites include "I was born to serve my God," "I devote myself without shame," "I serve with joy," etc; write your own, personalize them, and try to use them often!
Would you maybe do permahospitalized tips? (Without actually going to the hospital)
Perma Hospitalized
Keep your room minimal and clean ! Hospitals don’t have clutter, so try to keep surfaces clear and only have essential items !!
Sterilizing your area with disinfectant once a week can help with that clean / hospital smell !
Get a hospital - style bed setup ! White sheets, lightweight blankets, and maybe even an adjustable bed frame if possible !!
Consider adding a bedside table with water, tissues, and a small tray for a hospital feel ! If you can , getting those steel rolling trays to fill with care items can be even better !
Wear hospital gowns or loose pajamas for that patient aesthetic !! If hospital gowns aren’t comfy , oversized T-shirts and soft pajama pants work too !
Try using medical tape or bandages decoratively - wrap wrists, fingers, or arms for that medical touch !!
Use a medical wristlet !! Print this out , cut to fit , write your information and glue onto the red parts !
Have a medical chart close to your bed !! Heres a whole website full of printable charts that you can fill out !!
Have a day-to-day plan !! Heres a default made by me to get started :
7:00 AM — Wake up & morning check-in (write in a health journal)
8:00 AM — Breakfast & morning meds (use vitamins or candy as "meds" if not needed)
10:00 AM — Light activity (watch TV, read, therapy-like journaling)
12:00 PM — Lunch & rest
2:00 PM — Pastime (drawing, listening to music, puzzles)
5:00 PM — Dinner & evening meds
7:00 PM — Wind down (relaxing bath, writing, low-energy hobbies)
9:00 PM — Bedtime (dim lights, ASMR hospital sounds, white noise machines)
Hope these helped !! Good luck my little patient <3
Translanguage tip from my linguistic nerd ass and my trace headmate who has been transitioning actively for a while now:
Start referring to your regular activities and regularly used/consumed objects by their name in your language instead of the one you currently speak
You're scrolling on social media but you're Estonian? That's "kerimine"!
You're eating cookies but you're Russian? Call it "pechen'ye"! (печенье)
Homework but you're Japanese? It's called "shukudai" (宿題) in your language!
Morning stretches, light exercises, but you're Korean? You can call it "achim undong" instead! (아침 운동)
Doodling random things because you don't know what to draw but you're Italian? I think you meant "scarabocchiare"!
Cereal for breakfast, but you're Turkish? Oh so "gevrek"?
My headmate says this really helps him feel like himself even if just for a tiny moment! And since you do this with activities you enjoy and/or do regularly, the nice moment repeats regularly with it :)
(the transdid doc is still a wip and will be made, I just wanted to get something out for everyone to use until then)

What is DID?
Dissociative Identity Disorder, also known as DID, is a dissossive disorder that is typically caused by constant trauma. In DID, there is more than one individual in the body along with amnesia barriers blocking alters from remembering what another alter did. However, there are multiple types of amnesia associated with DID.
DID is caused typically due to constant childhood trauma. At a young age, all children have separate self-states. Over time, they collide together which forms an individual's personality. However, in DID, the brain sets up amnesia barriers between self-states to allow an individual to function fine during childhood.
There are multiple types and forms of dissociative amnesia. Retrograde is where dissociative amnesia affects finding old memories. Anterograde amnesia is where dissociative amnesia prevents the formation or storage of new memories.
The five forms of dissociative amnesia are localized, selective, generalized, continuous, and systematized. Localized amnesia is memory loss that affects everything within a short and specific time frame. Selective amnesia is memory loss that affects an event or all events of a certain type within a certain time period.
Generalized amnesia is memory loss regarding everything in a long period of time (typically months or years). Continuous amnesia is the type of anterograde amnesia. Systematized amnesia is memory loss affecting everything under a certain topic or category. Localized, selective, and generalized amnesia are all typically associated with DID.
The amnesia types that DID presents are called grayout amnesia and blackout amnesia. Grayout amnesia is referred to as remembering some details, but not all and may feel like you're watching someone else control your body when looking back at the memories. This is typically also referred to as selective amnesia. Blackout amnesia presents in either generalized amnesia or localized amnesia. It is when an individual cannot remember anything within a certain timeframe.
Some symptoms of DID are the presence of more than one alter, amnesia, memory gaps, dissociation, derealization, depersonalization, identity confusion, behavior changes, and multiple internal voices.
The DSM-5 TR for DID is the following:
A. Disruption of identity characterized by two or more distinct personality states, which may be described in some cultures as an experience of possession. The disruption in identity involves marked discontinuity in sense of self and sense of agency, accompanied by related alterations in affect, behavior, consciousness, memory, perception, cognition, and/or sensory-motor functioning. These signs and symptoms may be observed by others or reported by the individual.
B. Recurrent gaps in the recall of everyday events, important personal information, and/or traumatic events that are inconsistent with ordinary forgetting.
C. The symptoms cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.
D. The disturbance is not a normal part of a broadly accepted cultural or religious practice. Note: In children, the symptoms are not better explained by imaginary playmates or other fantasy play.
Terminology
While many individuals create their own terms, these are the most common
Plural — anyone who is more than one in any way. This can be by having multiple separate identities, personalities, entities, etc in one body or otherwise.
System — a system is someone who identifies as plural and calls themselves a system as well.
Alter — a specific entity in a plural. Normally, alters have their own personality, name, pronouns, genders, and more. They also normally have autonomy and their own conscience. They are sometimes referred to as something else. This can also be having a different ‘state’ rather than consciousness or such.
Fragment — an alter who either doesn't have a full identity or doesn't have a full consciousness. This can also be both. It describes any alter not fully formed.
Sissasystem — the overall term for groups, subsystems, nestedsystems, sidesystems, etc.
Group — a group of alters who often hang out and/or are around each other.
Subsystem — a subsystem is either a system in a system, alters who have split from one and are considered a subsystem, or a group that's inheritently functions alike a system. There is more definitions which depend on the individual.
Sidesystem — a sidesystem is a system that is separate from another system.
Headcount — the collective amount of how many alters there are.
How to Form Alters
How Dissociative Identity Disorder creates alters is creating dissociative states which form conscious (or states) individuals to function normally due to trauma.
However, there are dissociative barriers between alters (such as a cisendogenic who is also cisdid may have formed due to other causes and trauma created the barriers) which is typically grey amnesia (not remembering it but being able to recall typically) and black amnesia (not remembering it at all)
When you're creating the alters, you have to remember what you're aiming for. In DID, you want to create dissociative barriers between you and the other alters. Furthermore, you might also aim for polyconsciousness and being multiple. However, that depends on the plural.
Traumagenic alters often have a reason why they're there. For example, to protect the plural, care for the plural, etc. They may have roles and it is recommended to try to form alters with roles if you are aiming for traumagenic alters.
Firstly, you need to create the alter. I recommend going in depth with their description. You can create an sp or pk, or even use a notes app to create their layout to build off of.
Think about their name, pronouns, genders, (x)ids, age, species, boundaries, preferences, personality, typing quirks, etc. All of this is important, especially in DID, since alters are typically different from one another.
You're creating another person, so also think about likes, dislikes, hobbies, stances, etc too. This will help them and you to your transition to DID.
Secondly, you have to start actually forming them. You can do this in many ways. The most common way is to talk to them throughout your day as if they are already formed.
Typically in this tactic, you form them by causing them to become a separate consciousness and sentience. You typically want to talk to them for about two or more hours a day. It adds up easily if you're interacting them all day.
However, you can also ingrave them into your thinking and sense of self until they become separate. To do this, you can match your thought process to them. What would they say? What would they do? What would they eat? What would they think? What would their personality be like?
You continue that tactic until they form. If they aren't separate, you can go over to #4 and #6 to help out.
Another tactic is using a headspace. For this tactic, head over to #8 to create a headspace beforehand. If you can see images, imagine you and the other alter in any place in the headspace. What are they doing? What about their expression and how they're standing. Take in every single detail before talking to them. You can introduce yourself too and introduce who they are.
Talk to them for I'd recommend about an hour every day. You don't have to parrot, although you can if that helps. I'd recommend asking questions and giving them the opportunity to respond.
There's many more tactics and if you'd like, create one yourself. These are the tactics I know are quite popular. The whole goal is to create an alter which can be done in many other ways. I'm also able to create new methods if you'd like to send an ask in our inbox, we're welcome to do such.
How to Become Polyconscious
Before we get into how, let's discuss what polyconscious is firstly. Polyconscious is where every alter has their own consciousness. A conscious is being aware of your existence and being aware of your surroundings.
So, how to become polyconscious? One tactic is to pretend. Go throughout your day acting like you and the other alter(s) are polyconscious. This method is going into tricking yourself into believing you're polyconscious.
However, there are many other methods. Another one is manifestation. While you have to look into manifestation, here's my personal favorite method for manifestation from what we've seen.
Take a deep breath. Tell yourself your the creator, you choose what happens. I'd recommend out loud but you can say it in your thoughts as well. Close your eyes, for a minute, focus on your breathing. Once you've done that, continue that while thinking about what you want. Think about how it will be once you get what you want. Then exhale. Tell yourself it will happen because you decided so.
I'd recommend to think about any doubts you have and overcome them. Why wouldn't manifestation be possible? Prove those doubts wrong then do this process. Be free to do this everyday but it's not required.
Another method, one of my personal favorites (yet most frustrating) is a game we call "behind the door". One alter leaves the room (one that's co-con, not front) and they enter the room once again with either a item or another alter and has to tell the fronter what they grabbed or who they grabbed.
The goal of this is to separate consciousness by the other alters now wavering because they know and you inherently don't.
How to Dissosicate
Dissociating is quite simple. There's multiple forms of dissossation. Depersonalization and derealization.
Depersonalization is feeling detached to oneself. Some symptoms are feeling like an observator to your thoughts, body, feelings, and/or actions, emotional or physical numbness, feeling alike a robot, not trusting your memories, and your reality may feel distorted or unreal.
Derealization is another form of dissossication. Some symptoms are feeling alike the surrounding world is unreal (may look/seem foggy/flat/colourless or anything else that makes it seem distorted), sensory distortations (such as certain things sounding louder or quieter than normal or something feeling softer/harder than typical), distorted sense of time (may feel like slow motion or fast forward and/or memories may seem like they happened a while back or only a moment ago), and emotional disattachment (emotional numbness or distance from one's surroundings).
I'm going to be real here, causing dissossication is one of the most easiest things ever. At least from my experiences.
For depersonalization, I recommend getting yourself out of the world first. Look around and recognize your surroundings before focusing on yourself. Fade the surroundings (or in other words, make it feel similarly to a faded background even if it doesn't look like it). Now, for a moment think and feel. Then let ago. Distance yourself from your body, thoughts, and emotions. They aren't yours currently, it's someone else's, the body's. It's quite similar to zoning out (as its a form of dissossication), however knocking it another notch. Then stay in that until you come back to the world.
For derealization, I'd recommend focusing only on your thoughts. The world isn't real, compare it to alike a simulation or game. It's just another fragmentation of what you know and what's going on. It's not real. Even if it doesn't inheritently look different yet, say it is and step into that feeling. Believe it. Your subconscious will eventually listen because it believes whatever you say.
How to Create Amnesia Barriers
There's multiple methods to do this. The most common is to trick your subconscious into believing it. To do this, you just pretend you already have amnesia barriers. Whenever a different alter fronts, act as if you don't remember anything. Don't let any thoughts through if they're trying to break that reality. Eventually, your subconscious will listen after it goes "well, since you say so and feel it, it must be true".
However, that doesn't work for everyone. What I recommend it dissosicate before switching with another alter. If you/they remember anything, remember that that's another alter's business, not yours and go on with your day. It must not be important to you because it's their memories.
Although, that's just another form of pretending. While it's not inherently, it might also not work out for some individuals. So, my last method for this is, once again, manifestation. Use the method that I stated for polyconscious or another method and simply manifest it.
However, these methods won't work for everyone, for that, be free to request a new method for this in my inbox if none of these work out.
Tools that May Help
Some tools I recommend that could help are pluralkit and simply plural for endo-safe (even if you're not endogenic) proxy and tracking tools. Lighthouse is a good website as well. It also has tools for DID information as well.
Subliminals might also help out, although, not always. To use subliminals, I'd recommend to lay down (or sit down) and listen to it. That's all you have to do. Say affirmations if they don't have any in the audio, or if they do, just let it happen. Please be careful as there are subliminals that have bad intentions and will put harmful ideas into your subconscious while you don't know.
Another tool that could possibly help out is creating multiple blogs or creating a DID blog where you present as cisDID (out as radqueer or not) which can be helpful in transitioning. Creating a blog for separate alters can be helpful as well to form them.
How to Create a Headspace
There are two versions I'm writing here. For those who can see images and for those who cannot.
Firstly, I recommend creating a Pinterest board or any visualization outside if you can so you know what you're creating.
If you can see images, firstly, look around the headspace that you want. Feel as if you're already there. Look around and grab all the details. Then feel. What's the floor feel like? When you're ready, go over to a door and open it, feel everything. Look inside and enter. Explore and get used to the feeling then allow other alters to come into the headspace.
If you cannot see images, focus on only the feelings. What does the floor feel like? The walls? The door handle? The rug? The couch? Then continue walking around, explore them allow other alters to come into headspace.
Or, our personal method for creating a headspace, just feel your bed and imagine how your room looks like (or limited) and figure out the rest later.
note: if your transosdd-1, do this process except do not either include amnesia barriers or make alters less defined. moreover, the reason why the transdid doc is taking a while is because 1) procrastination and 2) this is only a bit of what's planned in the doc, there's planned to be many more methods for the following along with many more topics which is taking quite a while to fully write out.

Just because it’s the law doesn’t mean it’s right. In fact, that’s a very stupid law. A disabled person who wanted/wants to be disabled is still disabled and still in need of help. And encouraging others to effectively cyberstalk someone to prevent them from getting help as a disabled person is disgusting. I am cisdisabled in a few ways but my want to be more disabled shouldn’t prevent me from getting benefits, nor should it someone who is transabled.
If anyone has specific plans as to how you’re going to transition (if you plan on actually getting hurt rather than just using mobility aids and such) I suggest you keep it as private as possible, especially if you’ve ever been doxxed. It’d be very hard to make a worthwhile case against you if their only evidence is your statements of wanting to be disabled, as testimony is one of the worst evidences known to man, and rather weak. If they can not concretely prove that you did it, they have nothing. Even more is the fact that they cannot immediately terminate your benefits without an investigation if you happen to already be on it. For those seeking to get on disability, their mere suspicion is not enough to deny you the claim. If the investigation turns up inconclusive, I believe it’ll simply be put on file and you may continue filing for it as you were before, though it may impact their decision as to whether they’ll bring you in or not.
As always, please correct me if I am wrong, and share any tips or knowledge you may have on the subject. My research on the subject hasn’t been particularly thorough, I am not a lawyer, so take this all with a grain of salt.
