I’ve been staring at the concept arts of Blackstar and wondering why their design is so familiar… I’ve come to the realization that:

Blackstar looks A LOT like the Yukikaze from the anime Battle Fairy: Yukikaze. It’s to the point where I’m wondering if the designers for Blackstar were actually inspired by Yukikaze.

Even in their early concept art they still look like Yukikaze… this is either a crazy coincidence or intentional… especially since Battle Fairy: Yukikaze is literally about a nearly sentient AI harboring inside a fighter jet (the Yukikaze)— thus making BF:Y (to a degree) an anime about a living machine, a futuristic/sci-fi jet at that 💭

Coincidence or not, I overall find it quite nostalgic that this cancelled Planes sequel I always think about has so many similarities to the anime that shaped my childhood, makes me more sad that Planes 3 was never completed

I also will mention that Blaze’s beta designs remind me a lot of a different jet model in BF: Yukikaze, though I do give this one more leeway as it looks like it could be a coincidence

———— Honestly, with all this in mind, it’s got me thinking about potential characters for Planes 3 that are truly based off of Yukikaze jets… I think the style of the jets from Yukikaze could fit the aesthetic of Planes 3 perfectly

Soundwave somehow finding an Autobot the size of Rumble and Rewind and proceeding to swallow that Bot whole. That happening to deeply confuse the TroubleTwins(corny <3) who now know that Soundwave can swallow any of his cassettecons at any time he wishes. And inside the chest they can hear the unwilling Automeal(cornyyy <33) mulching inside bossdadah(<333). R F can only hope Soundwave never gets so hungry he could eat... a 'Con. (They could even terrorize the bot inside until it is finally -> "(x_x)", who knows.)
