I’m not sure where you live, so the starting T question may have a lot of different answers. — In the U.S., there are some doctors who do informed consent (they tell you about the drug, what it does to your body, and potential side effects or complications) and will prescribe T after you sign paperwork stating that understand all the information given. Also in the U.S., there are some doctors / insurance providers that require you to see a specialist (usually an endocrinologist) before prescribing T. But you should definitely work with a medical doctor before and while taking T.
