We’re all here, breathing the same air. Despite how similar we may be, we let differences between us get the best of us. When did we lose our sense of unity? Since when do we write off our best friends for making mistakes and calling rules stupid when in fact, our authority figures are only trying to benefit us? When did we start feeling entitled to our potent disrespect for one another? We’re all dealing with, or have dealt with, life’s obstacles so why do we inflict emotional pain on those who ‘have it easy?’ The truth is, there is no 'easy.’ Our generation knows very little about respect but too much about sex. I’m disappointed in how angry y'all are at only 16 just because you didn’t get the grade that you didn’t work for. When did we start thinking that an easy life was going to be handed to us? We have to contribute. We have to pick one another up off of the ground. We have to love each other because without love, we’ll meet our demise much sooner than later. Hold doors more often and reach out.

I was so young when I was suicidal it honestly amazes me. I was so young and naive. I thought my world was ending at the littlest things. what was the oh so big crisis in my life the past few years that made me want to not exist anymore? absolutely nothing worth dying over now that I think back to it. it would’ve been such a waste of life that could still turn out to be so beautiful. I’ve still got so much to learn and so much of the world to travel and discover and so many beautiful people to meet and fall in love with and maybe get my heart broken a few more times. there’s just still so much more living to do and I guess I’m just trying to say that I’m glad I decided to stay in world as messed up as it is.
