You felt hard concrete under you as your eyes started to flutter open. Dark skies and tall buildings was what you were meant with. Feeling like everything was wrong made you sit up so fast you felt light headed. Looking around you noticed you were in an alleyway and Neo was out cold next to you. You scrambled over to him, gently placing a hand on his cheek minding the spikes. This caused his red pupils to flicker on as he took you in. He wraps a hand around yours on his cheek, nodding as he slowly sits up taking his surroundings in.

“Thank goodness, you’re alright. You sat in your knees as his moved both his and your hand to his lap. “Metal, something happened! I knew I should have listened to myself and now look at us. In some weird place.”

Neo stood up slowly, bring you up with him. He motioned you to get behind him as you both walked to peek from behind the alley way wall. Causing you to gasp and him to suck his nonexistent teeth. Seeing a city with skyscrapers, Mobians on moving sidewalks and buses that have a familiar face pass by here and there.

“I don’t like this…” Neo began, “Let’s not draw attention to ourselves here. We don’t really know where we are or what could happen…”

He was right and you knew it, that bus may have had that signature mustache but you didn’t want to take any chances on both of yours safety even though you were an Eggman and Neo was build by said Eggman. You stay at the corner looking around as Neo walked back in the alleyway. Turning to see what he was doing, you noticed a silver puddle on the ground. A few seconds went by and up rose Neo but looking like an organic hedgehog with red shoes and yellow fingerless gloves that had spiked bracelets at their base.

“We need to blend if we want to figure anything out.” He walked over to stand in front of you, glancing down and tilting his head. “Do you have that gift I gave you a while back.”

You reaching from under your shirt pulling out a decent sized locket, already understand why he was asking. It was an anniversary gift, made by Neo himself. You opened it, one part of the locket held a photo of you and him and the other side, buttons. Pressing them allowed you to change your appearance the same way Neo could, with taking data from someone and using it to your advantage or making something entirely new. He added this for your safety, plus to hold a piece of him close whenever you two were apart.

You felt it cloak over your frame becoming a (F/A) Mobian. You both look at each other and nodded. He grabbed your hand, lacing his fingers with yours and lend the way to one of the moving sidewalks. Little did you both know cameras were watching you…

After what felt like an hour, Neo and you do came to the conclusion that you were both in a different dimension of sorts. And in a city run possibly by a version of your father. You two kept your guard up just in case and a good thing you did. Because you both noticed that you were getting swarmed by robots and made a quick run for it. Taking twist and turns to try an outrun the bots but you both ended up at a dead end.

“You two are unregistered citizens of New York City! You are required to see the Chaos Council immediately.” One of the bots spoke. Neo held you behind him, ready to change back and fight but you placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Wait,” you whispered, “Maybe we should see who this Council is to try and get more answers and if not then we’ll escape and try and find our own way home.” He glared at the bot before swiftly shifting his gaze towards you and nodded.

“Fine…”

We all know Sonic is an amazing friend and it won’t change when it comes to you

He’s there for you whenever you need help or just want someone to chill with it doesn’t matter with him

Will carry you in his arms and take you anywhere you wanna go

If you’re apart of the Sonic Team/a Freedom fighter then he’s not going to worry TOO much for your safety

If you’re not then boy is he gonna worry, he’s not going to out right say but you can tell by his actions that he cares

So many inside jokes between you two, sometimes the others get annoyed

He teases you a lot with anything he can think of, it’s worse if it’s something he’s better than you at, it’s his love language (I love cocky Sonic!!!)

But he also will give you so much encouragement because that’s just who he is

“Hey, don’t stress too much about that thing, buddy, you’ll get it done when you get it done because you are incredible and capable!”

“Whoa, you need to take your time with that and coming from ME!?! That’s saying something, look if you need help though you know I’m here.”

He’s one of the bestest pals you can ask for and I know for a fact he’s thinking the same about you

He’s too cool to say ‘I love you’ (He does he just can’t say it flat out but boy do his actions speak for him)

He’ll be like, “Hey, I got you this because it reminded me of you”

“I know you like this stuff so I went out of my way to get it for you, you welcome!”

Even if you’re not around he would say, “Y/N would love this!”

Always thinking about you

He’ll get you all kinds of gift that he’ll know you’ll love

Dates with him are either real active or real chill there is no between with this guy

Sometimes dates end up being battles if you guys run into trouble

Like stated before if you’re not a fighter sometimes you may or may not get captured by Eggman or Metal Sonic

Don’t worry him and the gang will save you! Or you’ll get out on your own you start to learn a thing or two after being with him for so long

You wanted to do something for Metal to show that you appreciated what he does and how amazing you found the bot. So you decided on a simple gift would be best for someone like him, but what? Anything that could be eaten was out of the question, since the whole no mouth thing, and he wasn’t one to wearing clothes. However, you did know he had a room in Eggman’s lair and he didn’t have a whole lot of stuff in there to make it his own. So, you thought a homemade gift to give him would give him a good start on that. You didn’t have much knowledge on certain crafts but you were willing to learn for Metal and decided a plush could be the best thing to gift him. He could put it on one of his many selves or something.

You gathered all the materials a guide video told you to use and started getting to work. It wasn’t has hard as you though it would be, with the video and a nice picture you had of Metal, it was going great. You just hope he’ll like it and that you’ll do a good job.

He was ugly.

Ok, well… in a whole like funny way he was ugly but also still cute. You messed up the proportions real bad but you sadly didn’t have the energy to start a new one so. Here goes nothing. Placing it in a box and wrapping it, you were on your way to find Metal.

The bot stared at the box in his hands and then back at you. You held a nervous but warming smile on you face, “I, ha, made you something to have… hope it’s ok!”

And with that he held it one of his sharp fingers and ribbed through the wrapping and removed the lid. He peered into the box, silence taking over both of you as he smelled nose came into contact with the plush’s nose. He didn’t move or make any noises, all he did was look up at you without moving his head. You played with you hands as you tried to explain yourself but before you could he picked up the plush with one hand and turned it around to look at it from all angles. If he could sigh you feel like you’d hear it by now. But he held his head down to the side, eyes glued to the floor as he held up the hand that didn’t have the plush up and gave you a thumbs up, beeping. You smiled before throwing your arm around him and give his forehead a kiss. After that you both spent the rest of the day together, the plush not leaving either one of your sides.

Metal’s eyes flickered on as he registered that is was a new day. He got up from his recharging station and began to leave to start his day by checking on if you or Eggman needed him. But before he left, he paused before leaving his room, eyes on the selves by his door which held the plush you made him. He stood there for what felt like a full minute before he gently patted the head and left.
