Would like to think the philosophy of the “positive love” in the Yamanaka clan being a contrast to Tobirama’s theory of the cursed of hatred. That it was used to isolate the Uchiha in the Village.
The ideia that how you love is always a choice not generic disposition even in the face of loss and pain.
I think it would have been a very interesting dynamic in OC characters with this as a concept.

I re-read chapter 54 of the manga, that has the flashback of Ino and Sakura’s friendship while they were in the Forest of Death:
When Sakura reveals she likes Sasuke, Ino talks shit about Sasuke not Sakura as if she’s jealous of him gaining Sakura’s attention.
and when Sakura finds out Ino “likes” Sasuke too, its not even from her mouth, its hearsay.
Sakura didn’t even know for sure if Ino liked Sasuke, she totally ended their friendship on hearsay and gossip and didn’t even stick around to have Ino say anything to her or talk it over. She threw Ino away like garbage based on gossip.
I have even more proof
In the panel before, Sakura says she’s growing out her hair because of Sasuke AND in this panel she assumes Ino is doing the same thing for Sasuke.
So the question remains: Did Ino like Sasuke or did she like Sakura and only played along to the rivalry.
If its the latter, then it really makes Sakura look worse. Like imagine Ino, legit helping Sakura gain her confidence, make friends and protect her along with perhaps developing feelings for her
Only for her to not only throw them away
but disregard everything you said, every encouraging word, as a lie. Like you purposefully abused her and lead her to becoming your “tag along” when you did no such thing and everything came from a genuine place of love whether platonic or romantic
Now I know there is more evidence later on that Ino loved Sasuke in Shippuden including when she cried as he was branded a criminal, her inner conversation with her father and of course his presence in her Infinite Tsukuyomi dream but there’s also evidence that she also didn’t value her bond with Sasuke as highly as others which includes her flirtatious attitude at Sai and his presence in her dream as well.
I can post all day about how Sakura and the other cast of Naruto ASSUMED many things about Ino only for her to turn around and smash their assumptions to bits.
Old post but have been rereading some Ino moments in the manga and I’m come to a different fanon conclusion on this:
Ino for some reason never wanted people to know she likes him (?) Than people just notice, Sakura broke the friendship and she just run with it.
This would make sense why she never acts on her feeling for real - thinking no filler only manga canon. And only reacts to it in her thoughts and special situations (he possibly of executed or seeing him for the first time in the war)
Overall she likes him but don’t want to pursue him for some reason.

always love how in the entire group looking unimpressed Yamato still has to be the LEAST impressed of everyone. and of course his gf mimi is chipper as always
It doesn't sit right with me that NETFLIX INDIA releases footage about a beautiful moment about the culture to be seen in Bridgerton and people kind of spoiled that complaining nonstop about other stuff.
I really think there are some things in the book that wouldn't translate well in the format. Like:
The bee scene.
YES YES. I love and I know is one of the most important scenes in the series BUT I always had a feeling if they tried to do it on screen would be kind of cheesy and comical - not in a good way - and undermine Anthony's trauma.
My fear was general audiences could think: Own they are gonna get married for such dumb reason!
So not sure I am mad if they changed it and deviate. I COULD BE WRONG and the scene can be done as good as it is on paper but I'm really not sure.

Yamato (guitar and backing vocal) | Mimi (lead vocalist and bass) | Naoki (drums) | Katashi (keyboard and second bass)
- Naoki is mixture between Taichi and Sora personalities. He is outgoing and impulsive but is always careful with people around him - mom of the group - what makes Yamato connect naturally with him. He likes the gender-fluid style and as Mimi is devoted to David Bowie
- Katashi is more calm and collected like Yamato though not so stubborn. In group fights the others almost forget he is in the environment - what is his goal. He is always well and repeats a lot of "cool" or "that's nice" in sentences. Prefers the grunge style much more sloppy than Yamato.
- Yamato is the soul of the band. The songs are composed and written mostly by Yamato though the rest of the band is contributing more with time. When a music is too close to home he takes as the leading vocals.
- Mimi joined the band later. They needed a backing vocal for some songs but after some month everyone agreed she should be the lead singer. Yamato felt relieved because he didn't like all the attention that came with the position what Mimi just loved.
- Mimi uses the band as a excuse to change the style and color of her hair constantly
- Katashi originally was the bass player but was really passionated about the keyboard so Mimi decided to learn to replace him. It took sometime but she proved by good at it. Yamato liked because he could add one more instrument on his compositions.
- Yamato always wanted to get some tattoos but was always afraid of things not work in music and end up hurting this career in the future. So the others decided to get the first one with him and now he is just addicted.
- Everyone in the band agrees Yamato is the most talented of all but on his opinion he just practices a lot. For him Mimi would be the best if she wasn't so lazy because she has the natural talent.
- Mimi developed a glam rock style. If depended on her all of them would dress like young Elton John on stage what gives chills on Yamato and Katashi. In order to maintain the peace she and Naoki are satisfy using some glitter and their fake fur coats.
- Yamato knows it is cliche but his major inspiration is Kurt Cobain.
- Mimi felt insecure on joining the band because she thought she was too girly for it. Until Yamato told her don't give a sh* for what other people think attitude was good enough. She was not sure was a compliment but worked for her confidence.
- The boys had to dress up nicely - for the horror of Katashi - to go to convince Mimi's parents to let her join the band . They promise always bring her to the house's door after a concert and lied about playing in nice places - in the beginning they got a lot of digs underground trash bars.
- Although the band is just starting to became more popular in mainstream they are very known and respected in underground scene in Tokyo. Usually people joke "They are too pretty to play that good".
- The band favorite internal joke revolves around everybody thinking Mimi and Yamato date. Yamato got annoyed in the beginning but know he gave up and just think is funny too.
I just got the inspiration to create the first English fanfic and it is also the first about Mimato! I haven't been writing for a long time but I decided to give it a try again. I believe the text is not clear enough and I still need to go back to read more to broaden my vocabulary. Still, I decided to post because in a way it needed to get out kk Although it works as a oneshoot I have ideas to continue as a long fic too. Let's see. The story is basically an amalgamation of my favorite Mimato headcanons. Hope you like it.
Mimi and Yamara were never friends.
Of course, they are part of the same friend group which by association made them friends, but...
They're not really friends.
They exchanged some words and smirked with a bit of disdain when Taichi did some nonsense. They also agreed - perhaps more than they had realized - when a heated discussion happened between the group, nonetheless there was a degree of discomfort between them—a lack of closeness.
They didn't know quite well how to explain it. At first, one might think it was due to the incompatibility of their personalities. However, some of Mimi and Yamato's best friends had an opposite nature to theirs too. Koushiro, an introvert, and Mimi, a classic extrovert, could easily open up with each other. The same applied to Yamato and Taichi, who fought a lot but could always understand one another.
No, it wasn't because of their personalities.
It might have missed to them a few moments alone to be able to develop a connection. It was usual to form more intimate sub-relationships in a large group, and sometimes one person could not often interact with another. Taichi and Joe were an example of this, and despite Koushiro and Sora having somewhat similar personalities – aka excessive protection with a certain someone – they weren't the closest either.
Mimi and Yamato's relationship, on the other hand, was more complex than an unplanned disconnection. Both actively tried to avoid each other, and they could feel a certain hostility in the air. Their one-to-one interactions often resulted in small bickerings, and a pet peeve grew as the years went by. Their friends usually laughed off, but they feared that those little fights could become real deep down. It seemed they were in the Cold War, and a bomb was about to explode.
Until Mimi and Yamato found themselves staring at each other in a random bar.
And worst than that: They're entirely alone after years.
