Love when Mimi is the pessimist and Yamato the optimist
Like this is probably one thing I really enjoy playing around with when writing their dynamic, because of course there are moments when you can count on Mimi to be the cheerleader and lift everyone'e spirits up, and Yamato to be the voice of skeptism or doubt.
But you know things are messed up if Mimi is the one who has lost all hope, and Yamato is the one stepping forward to take her place. And yet, there is nothing else that can help bring Mimi's energy back up like watching Yamato motivate others with his kind smile. She would be in awe of how he is able to talk to everyone at a personal level, remembering things they'd accomplished in the past to strengthen their resolve. He'd laugh at her astonishment and say that he learned all of this from watching her.
They're just such perfectly complimentary characters, because at first sight you'd think they'd have nothing in common, but when you peel the layers, there are so many similarities it makes you wonder how you missed all of them!
Anyway, key activity of being in the Mimato fandom is taking little scenes like these and blowing them out of proportion for character studies, it's how we maintain the delulu literacy standards over here 🤓
I know that the scene is irrelevant to the bigger picture BUT IT'S CUTE AS HELL TO ME AND I THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS A LOT.
Mimi's memory of Yamato is shaped from such moments, there are rarely any scenes where he wasn't considerate of her feelings, so it's not unnatural to assume that when she would think of him, she would do it fondly.

So excited for Mimato week, aside from last day, I planned everything out already 😍😍😍
I had been drawing on my samsung S25 Ultra because i didn't have my tablet yet, so that's why the drawings looked rough or poorly done, with uneven lines everywhere. But now that i have my tablet, the lines look so much better, hahaha
