the moment light hit his face, the pirate let out a soft curse under his breath, trying his best to cover himself up to avoid being fully awaken. at least, that was the plan before the blanket was torn off of him. “fucking ‘ell,” he grumbled, eyes blinking as he began to push himself into a sitting position. the idea of having a personal butler had certainly been endearing at the time, but harry hadn’t realized just everything that had come along with it. not that he would, at least considering where he had grown up. this was still a lot to take in.
brushing his messy hair back, he peered curiously at philippe, still doing his best to fully wake up. “ye know, never really get why ye spend so much time goin’ over all o’ the clothes in there. ain’t changed since ye started all o’ this.” and it wasn’t going to change, not if harry had a say in the matter. just because he was king of auradon now didn’t mean he was going to change any of his clothing or style. “’sides, i’m more interested in jus’ staying in bed today.”
“i stare in hopes that it might change magically.” he admitted with a soft sigh, pulling out a worn coat, his torn shirt and some leather pants. “a proper king needs proper attire, your majesty.” philippe turned to look at him, walking over and lying out the outfit gently on the bed at his feet. “at least get new clothing. all these are so dirty and worn out, mon cheri.” crystal hues looked over at him as he smoothed out the lace cravat on his own outfit. always looking his best. a nobleman in silks.
he walked over to the side of the other, a small sigh leaving him as he leaned closely to him. “you have business as king. unfortunately, you don’t get the luxury of staying in bed without good reason.” he leaned down, patting his knee gently. “breakfast is ready for you in the dining hall.”
