Stumbling Into Trouble - Tosh & Owen
He blinked at her. âyou did?â he asked a bit surprised. He didnât know that. Good to know. âSorry I never returned the favor.âÂ
âHeâs a bit stressed right now.â He admitted honestly. âShe knows. He knows. Its a bit of a mess.â He sighed, figuring out that this was about to be turn into a large mess.Â
He perked up slightly at the mention of Osgood, but when it was just more smart talk he deflated and looked at the tablet. âI think sheâs off with the captain right now, so you wonât see her for at least a few hours.âÂ
Tosh had a small small on her face when Owen looked surprised she had sent him the drinks. She waved off his apology. âNo problem really. You looked like you could use a drink.â Tosh winced internally. âNot saying that you looked poorly or anything; just that it was late, and coming straight from hospital and having to deal with this lot... I just figured you could use a drink is all,â she tried to explain, not wanting him to think she meant he hadnât looked, well, nice.
Quite the opposite actually.
Nodding, Tosh glanced towards the office. âI can only imagine. Poor man,â she sympathised. âThe entire situation does seem, well, confusing to say the least. Where was he all that time?â she wondered out loud, âdid he say that much? Donna certainly didnât know. The poor thing was worried sick; even if she didnât come straight out and say anything... Well, not to me she didnât, but I donât know her as well as some of you all,â she acknowledged.
Tosh did not miss the way Owen seemed to perk up at the mention of Osgood.
Really? Osgood? Those two were a thing? Or he was interested in her at least? Tosh felt herself deflate.
Her eyebrow raised slightly when he mentioned Donna would be gone for a few hours. âA few hours? Whatever could they be doing for a few hours?â she mumbled to herself,  before looking at the doctor a bit quizzically, âWhat do you make of those two. Honestly.â Tosh glanced down at the tablet. This virus wasnât your ârun of the mill picked up over the internetâ virus. Whomever planted this on Donnaâs tablet, was out to pick up some very specific information.Â
It was not good, that much she knew.
âI mean, when I first saw the two of them together I figured... They were having a spot of fun, it would grow old, and that would be that, but,â she paused, âlooking around to take note of who was around to overhear her. âThe Captain seems like he is here to stay. Him and his mates, doesnât he? Donnaâs living with him, heâs now co-owner of the club. Chris canât be too happy about it, and I know James isnât.â Tosh nodded at Owen, âWhat about you? You seem rather, close with her. What do you make of the situation?â
While Tosh was certainly interested in finding out his opinion (after all, it was always best to have as much information as possible), she really just wanted an excuse to keep talking to the handsome doctor for as long as possible.
Sorry Osgood.
