Something that really grinds my gears is when a wheelchair user is complaining about how they can't get into places due to lack of ramps and someone says they should just carry a portable ramp with them.

A) Portable ramps are still big

B) A wheelchair user would need someone with them to carry the ramp and place it down which would reduce independence

C) A portable ramp won't work for every place

D) We shouldn't have to carry a ramp with us

Portable ramps are dangerous as fuck. They're Unstable with nothing actually holding the ramp down, often require unsafe angles, and have no railing to keep you from falling off.
