It wasn’t a lie. This First Order plastoid suit (he could hardly bear to call it armor) was flimsy compared to his gen 1 armor, but it could take the brunt of a hit like this one. It didn’t stop it from being painful, sure, and the General was definitely right about him needing to see a medic, but he could do that once the raid cleanup had calmed down and he had a minute to breathe.
