Her Scars - I’ve wanted to do a thread about Kay telling someone how she got the two scars on her face for so long-- it’s a story she hasn’t told very many people, and she still blames herself for what happened. You’d learn a lot about her childhood, (and maybe it would be a good chance to bond w other people who have scars too?)

Her Grandpa - Could tie in w the above, but Kay never talks a lot about her grandpa or her thief training. (I know I do ooc, but she doesn’t ic fdfgh). I need someone to tell her straight up that her grandpa was wrong. She’s never heard that before.

Kay’s Dads/Back Home - Talk to her about parents! How much you miss your loved ones/home. She’d love to share stories about her family, and hear about yours, too.

Language Thread - Kay speaks three languages, and she’d love to teach you Elvish or Undercommon (or the sign version of Undercommon). Comparing undercommon and another languages is fun, too-- Plus she can also teach you thieves’ cant! If  she had someone else to send messages with that would be fun-

Nightmare Thread - Could also tie in with some of the above, but Kay often has nightmares about. Well. Pick a trauma, really (apocalypse, watching her dad get killed in front of her, her grandpa, the monster manual, any isola event-). Very likely to pull a ‘will you stay up with me?’

Brushing/Styling her hair - this kid cuts her hair with a knife. Please show her there’s another way-- She knows a basic braid too, but that’s about it. Letting people touch her hair is a sign of trust for her!

Teach her to ride a bike - She’s had the mountain bike from her rankup basically forever, but still doesn’t know how to ride it.

Teach the nine year old to drive (not liable for the damage to your vehicle)

Ashnard and Edelgard are people with very similar parallels, but also obvious differences. To wit, the two of them have experienced:

Human experimentation

The death of their entire families

A desire to remake the world that has been corrupted by its current political and social climates

Both have also started wars based on the above

Here’s the big difference, though. Edelgard was the victim of experiments and lost her family as a result. Ashnard, however, performs gruesome experiments on humans and laguz alike. You’d only need a quick look at the mountain of mangled corpses in Gratnea Tower to confirm that much. And, while Edelgard tragically lost her family, Ashnard butchered his. He made sure to kill every competitor for the throne of Daein and drove a sword through his own father’s heart. 

Despite these differences, however, the two share similar philosophies. They both think that the society they live in is immensely flawed. Both start a war to destroy that corrupted society and remake a better one from its ashes. Ultimately, Ashnard would wholeheartedly agree with Edelgard’s cause; he shares the exact same opinion, after all. If he heard her backstory, he’d also respect her much, much more. In his eyes, she survived where the weaklings she called her family could not; this means she proved herself the strongest of them all. To Ashnard, Edelgard is the living embodiment of his “might makes right” philosophy. 

Edelgard, of course, would hate to hear him speak of her situation and her family like that. Anyone could see why. It’s just that Ashnard is anyone’s last choice when it comes to providing emotional support. Edelgard wouldn’t ever confide in Ashnard nor expect any emotional support from him; she’d likely hold him at arm’s length. To her, he’s a useful ally thanks to his prowess as a warrior and his political power as a king. But she’d see him as a monstrous human being who is wholly incapable of empathy. She wouldn’t trust him any farther than she can throw him. 

Ashnard, in contrast, would see Edelgard as the daughter he never had. Already so young, and yet she’s an up and coming emperor who fully understands the way of the world. She already knows that this society of weaklings must be obliterated. Even better, she already proved herself the strongest of the Adrestian royal family. It both saves Ashnard the trouble of killing Edelgard’s family for her (since, hey, someone has to secure that throne for her) and ensures he’ll respect her to the end of time. Ashnard’s a monster, but he’ll be stalwartly loyal to Edelgard no matter what. 

This is unlike the Argathans or many of the nobles on her side, who would discard her if it proved beneficial. Ashnard wouldn’t give a damn about how much money, wealth, power, or land someone offered. He’d never betray Edelgard because he sees her as both his successor and the living embodiment of what he believes in. In fact, he’ll happily discard his country if it proved beneficial to Edelgard. He doesn’t even care if he rules the world or lives to see Edelgard win. He’ll go full throttle for her cause because he’s the Mad King. 

As such, Edelgard would know that she can count on Ashnard’s loyalty. He’s fully transparent about what he wants: a changed world and a good bout with strong opponents. He wouldn’t double-cross her like many of her other allies would. Not only that, but he also respects her tremendously. 

In a way, their dynamic is strangely wholesome. Ashnard is tactlessly honest about what he wants and who he respects. Edelgard is likely well aware that she’s one of the few people he respects as an equal (or some semblance of it) and she’d know that he’d remain loyal to her regardless. He’s likely just as monstrous as the Argathans, but he’s so upfront about it that she’d find his honesty refreshing. She’d never want to see herself as Ashnard’s daughter nor as a continuation of his legacy, but, all the same, she’d be happy that he sees her that way, which ensures his continued loyalty.  It’s a strange dynamic of Edelgard using Ashnard much more than Ashnard’s using her. Hell, Ashnard isn’t even using her at all -- he believes in their shared cause so strongly that he would’ve died for it even if Edelgard wasn’t around.

Harvey Carlson, 26 and is an elementary school teacher

harvey is a book lover so what if harvey keeps coming to this book store that also involves your muse. they get to know each other for their enjoyment of books but the plot twist of this all is that harvey doens’t know your muse is not only an author but one of harvey’s favorite writers!

you left your USB flash drive in the library computer and i had to go through your files to figure out who you are and i ended up reading the entirety of this book you’re working on and wow you’re actually really good????

Kris Yassin, 26 and is an assassin

so lowkey when i made kris i got a bit inspired by the video game “assassin’s creed” so would be interested to do something loosely based around that. something like say your muse is working for the enemy organization that kris’s order doesn’t like. they meet and get closer (friendship or romantic, doesn’t matter) and go from there? very basic idea i know lol but can be fun i think!

give me assasin buddies, bro this is something that kris is in need of lol. sure he can be like a grouch sometimes but he knows how to have fun! he used to live the wild life so let’s do some wild friend antics lol

speaking of used too’s…why not bring something back from the past for kris?  say maybe an old friend from kirs’s childhood? they can maybe meet on the street one day and they may want to ask questions because of kris suddenly dropping all contact? or we could do the more cliche idea of said friend is now a target and oops, now kris is stuck in an oopsie :’)

hayes doesn’t have the best relationship with his parents (this can be read in his bio here) so maybe one day his parents may want to do a surprise visit because he does have good contact with his sister and she praised alot about him. his parents (specifically father) wants to see how “amazing hayes is doing”. cue hayes trying to make things not go south because his parents are not fans of the fact that hayes likes boys…so to see him having a boyfriend/fiance/husband may cause some problems to put it lightly. this could include hayes pretending not to be in a relationship with your muse or pretending they are just roommates. a bit of a heavy idea so far in this list, i know but it is something i would like to explore for hayes.

just because she IS  a vampire huntress doesn’t mean it has to be ONLY to vampires. she is multiverse so she can be a hunter for anything supernatural really. this can be something discussed for sure but she is versatile, she doesn’t have to stick to only human like leeches lmao.

so i was watching tiktoks last night and i’ve came across this story time and would love a plot for it… so muse a had a bad childhood for varies of reasons one thing lead to another and they were kicked out of the house, so they ended up couch surfing.. this enters their fear of the dark because they would wake up in the middle of the night not knowing where they are and everything is just dark and scary, so they begin sleeping with night lights or any sort of light that they have. well moving into college means roommates and muse a is too embarrassed to mention how they’re scared of the dark to their roommate. so first night, muse a wakes up screaming and enters muse b aka their roommate into their room and they’re like ?? are you good? finally muse a breaks and tells muse b what happened to them and then next night muse a finds a night light in their room, however, that night they still wake up screaming. muse b wakes up as well and just tell them that they’re ok and that they got them.. second year of college goes by and they’re not roommates anymore. first night moving in, it happens again.. muse a wakes up screaming only to find that muse b texted them that ‘they’re in their new apartment and that everything is going to be okay.’ it could turn into beautiful friendship or maybe something more?? i just want it pls

lowkey i legit got inspired by the video game character “chloe” from “life is strange” but i decided to do my take of chloe if that makes sense so…rachel amber inspired plot xD to those that are a bit confused, rachel amber the character is someone chloe befriends during her time when life is a bit downhill to put it lightly. they get close (some would say even romantic) and up until the final years of high school…rachel is gone. now in the games, rachel isn’t alive BUT i was thinking why not twist this around? make said missing friend (this would be your muse) show up out of the blue? with no answer as to why they just “left” and simply goes back to how things were.

ok hear me out…a sugar baby plot? it doesn’t have to be a schmexy plot either! it can be something like out of kindness (and boredom becuase what else can she do with her money) she will give gifts to your muse. like you want that fancy make up collection? alright, your college? paid off at the moment as we speak. want a lifetime supply of donuts? she can do just that. all she asks is to spend time with her and just chill out.

some angst for y’all: muse a and muse b grew up together, both members of big families that were close, and everyone always assumed they were gonna get together, including muse a who was head over heels in love. except muse b was always “in love” with someone else. this escalated for years and even when muse b found out about muse a’s feelings for them, they still did them dirty ⏤ until muse a snapped. “choose me or lose me.” they said and muse b, forever afraid of losing one of their closest friends, let them go. muse a moves to another city, starts a new life, desperately trying to forget about muse b for a couple years. then, a family wedding calls them back to their hometown and right back into the line of sight for muse b. muse a is now determined to stand their ground against them. meanwhile, muse b realized the big mistake they made is desperate to make up for it and win muse a back.
