Let's talk about this messed up sport of bodybuilding for a hot minute. I was going through my photos and saw the photo on the right - and the caption under it was how I was so overweight and how I was using this as a "before photo" (good thing I never started cutting since I was encouraged to keep the gains comin) but SERIOUSLY?! I cannot wait to get back to that. And then later on, back to the left. But hey - I'll take the right back any day now. ππ it just goes to show that you can end up with such a messed up body image. π yes, we all strive for the stomach I had on the left back in spring 2013, but the photo on the right is more realistic if you're not competing. I am healthier in the right hand side than I was on the left. π I am SO grateful that I took an off season to figure things out or else I would still think it's completely normal to be under 10% body fat and that the feeling of hunger is NOT the taste of success. It's the taste of, well, nothing. π· yes, dieting will take work. But once you hit that super low body fat, remember not to hate the softer version either. Right now, I'm a little beyond just "soft" but that'll change FAST, but there is a happy medium and I feel the tummy on the right from 20 weeks ago is more manageable than the abs are. Aim for the abs only if for an event - but after that event - remember that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the person on the right. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
