Damned rodent. The Coeurl retracted his paw from the log and put his eye to the opening once more. His ears twitched; the prey had definitely spoke, but was nowhere to be found. The beast's whiskers crackled with electricity for moment, then soon stopped. No, he wouldn't waste his magic on something as simple as some mouse. Bare, primal senses would be more than enough to bring the tiny snack right to his eager maw.
☄|| ..... It seemed as if sight and sound would take priority here; there were too many scents mixed in from other creatures. Without a word, Torama slunk back into a different area of vegetation. Patience was key, and when it came for the forest, it had to calm down before the time to hunt came again.
☆ - Hey, folks. I didn't forget about my threads; I've still got drafts and an ask in the askbox. Life's just had some heavy changes come my way, so I needed to take care of them. I've honestly been too tired to write lately, but I'm feeling a bit better tonight. Thanks once again for your patience, it's highly appreciated. I'll try to send some stuff into others after I get my threads taken care of.
☆- After I get done with one more reply I owe on here, I'm jumping over to Curly's blog for a bit. I really want to get things going with her too since Cave Story brainrot's been strong tonight.
☆- Also if you haven't yet, definitely try out Cave Story if it interests you. The game's one of my favorites and I'd love to have some more people to talk about it with.

☄|| You are in the woods of Vile Island. The flock that I speak of, well... Torama turned his head to the noisy group that were gathered on the opposite edge of the clearing. The Yan were at it again, testing each other's strength by bashing their heads together after charging, or using Aera to send the other nearest sheep in front of them flying. It didn't take long before one member of the flock took notice of the Coeurl and the Lamb.
"Baah!" After the first Yan had bleated, the others stopped in their tracks. Rows upon rows of beady eyes bored their gaze into the duo as Torama spoke using telepathy once more. ☄|| These creatures are known as Yan. Simple-minded, yet formidable when they work together. They seem to have taken an interest in you. The flock looked to each other, then back to the Lamb. Their bulky heads tilted in curiosity and some of their small bodies twitched in anticipation. Torama himself eyed a particularly marbled Yan, who upon realizing it was being looked upon as a potential meal, gave a fierce warning snort and scuffed the grass underneath a couple times with a hoof.

The Ghost
Death is not the end for everyone. It certainly was not the end for you. Something within you tethers you here, like a heavy chain, and keeps you from well-deserved rest. Love, rage, hunger, fear– do you even remember what it was? You wander here, awake, and your body lies below, asleep. Maybe someone will find your disturbed grave and grant you a proper ending.

☆- Before I get to catching up on the thread continuations I owe, I really wanted to say that since coming back from hiatus, this has been the happiest I've ever been, RP-wise. When I first made Torama's blog here, I was really nervous about trying to come into the FF RP circle. I avoided it for years because of the horror stories (younger me was terrified of being roped into a 'Final Fantasy House' incident lol, but there was also the fear of accidentally setting someone off and then being like, blacklisted from the community or something.) ☆- But being here, I've met some awesome people. And it's not just in FF stuff either! Coming back to Tumblr after avoiding it for so long too, I've had ups and downs. But seriously, you guys? You've all been REALLY cool and patient with me. I can't thank you enough. I haven't felt this great to write or plot for a good while, and I've even got some new followers lately I still need to reach out to! ☆- TL;DR: I'm just very thankful for this little pocket in the RPC I'm in now. Writing's my jam, I've missed it, and I'm pretty hyped to start making even more stories come to life with others, as cheesy as it sounds.
Yuna keeps a sturdy foot forward as she prepares a calling. The chant bound to the specific aeon she selected to defend her was suddenly severed and replaced by a voice from within. Her weapon lowers near her lap as she hesitates to survey her surroundings, finding naught but the single coeurl expressing his claws in an assertive display of dominance.
Her eyes widened, then. Anxiety swam through her veins.
Could it be the voice channeling through her head belonged to him? Would he even understand her if she tried speaking back?
A hand ghosts over the jewel of her sterling silver pendant. As if doing so would help her reclaim the resolve to attempt a dialogue with the king of the Calm Lands. She stutters briefly, acknowledging the beast with the slight bowing of her head.
"I...I am sorry. I did not mean to encroach on your home." would this work? Was what she was doing completely insane? More than likely. "I was... simply observing the gorge scar and..." What was she doing? This clearly wasn't going to work. It couldn't. The coeurls they've encountered up to this point weren't up for idle chit-chat. No, they wanted a meal. Who was to say this one was any different?
And yet, here she was humoring the beast with a reply. Perhaps she held out hope he would understand her trespass. It was an honest mistake.
"... Please forgive me. I will remove myself at once." that said, she turns on her heel and embarks on her journey furthest from the feline's presence. She wanted the opportunity to observe the scar and remember every single detail, line, and pebble etched into its foundation. It was a historical monument no one took for granted.

A snort was the Coeurl's response. What an airheaded display by this woman, but at least she took the hint and wasn't wasting time on leaving him alone. Torama kept an eye on her for a few seconds, going back to his business of cleaning his face after he believed Yuna to be a suitable distance away. As an old saying would go, however: There is always a calm before the storm. The beast's ears twitched; his nose caught an infamous scent. Brimstone mixed with a disgusting, sour musk...how he HATED the stench that fried his nostrils every time he was forced to take a whiff. Torama quickly rose to his feet, muscles tense and mana pulsing to the beat of his heart. There, in front of the human he had previously spat at...was it.
The Bull of the Chimera Brain was the first to make a noise, its roar disturbing the peace of the previously serene fields. It had awakened from its rest just had Torama had, and bloodlust was the only thought in the shared minds of its monstrous form.
"SHAAAAAA-!" The snake which made up the fiend's tail shot up from below, acting quickly by casting Thundara. It hoped to send the lone summoner to the ground in an instant.

☄|| Hmph. The creatures that made Vile Island their home. Their meat is exquisite, a prime cuisine I'd highly suggest. But ending one's life is no easy task. They fight as a flock and make themselves formidable; tricking others into thinking they're stupid creatures is their goal.

☄|| A mage...how quaint. An educated guess as to what the woman before him was, anyways. While Torama himself couldn't physically speak the human language, that was where telepathy came into play. There was definitely mana flowing through her entire being, just as it coursed through his own. The elegant feline reared his head and emerged from the grass. His chest was puffed out, on full display while the rest of his muscles rippled in anticipation. The deep voice that made his thoughts audible would reach Yuna's ears once more.
☄|| You're either brave, or extremely foolish to walk these lands on your own. I have no need for a meal; I have no want to waste time or energy on a pointless fight. If you wish to test my patience, however... Torama lifted a paw, and unsheathed his claws. The tips of his feathery whiskers glowed with beads of light.
