my general philosophy on Jedi vs Sith methodology is that Jedi methods rely on following the natural flow/will of the Force, and foster tranquility and inner stillness in order to better comprehend and bend around it. whereas Sith mainly bend the Force around themselves with the sheer strength of the emotions they're putting out. and the reason many Sith believe their methods to be innately stronger is that Jedi methods require extensive study and discipline and training to use at all, whereas Sith methods only require extensive study and discipline and training to use safely. it is much harder to learn meditation than it is to pavlov yourself into severe emotional disregulation that will get results very fast and also potentially burn you out and become extremely destructive to everything around you. I think of (first movie before the writers fumbled it) Kylo Ren as kind of the prime example of a Sith with absolutely no training or applied intent/cultural background. yeah technically it doesn't not work but if the trilogy had actually followed its own setup to its logical conclusion it would have ended really fucking badly for him.
so I play with that a lot with my SWTOR Sith Warrior as basically "what happens when Sith methods are actually rooted in a cohesive and functional culture." and consequently yes, Kalarros is a highly emotional person who feels things very strongly and forms extremely deep bonds with the people he cares for, and who is one of the most powerful and renowned Sith in the galaxy at one point because of it. but he's also emotionally intelligent, and aware of his own strength and how destructive unchecked emotion in a powerful Sith can be. he doesn't even fundamentally disagree with the Jedi that emotion and attachment are a powerful and potentially dangerous way to connect with the Force, he just doesn't see that as a reason not to do it because he was raised to believe that it can be done responsibly.
he's also extremely wary of fallen Jedi, because they do not have the background to be safe or sensible about the dark side, and that's how you end up with situations like Kylo Ren.
