Zeb likes leaving little marks up and down Kallus’ body, letting the anyone know that he is spoken for, Alex is his.
Back home, this was done through scenting, the lasats’ skin was thicker, harder to mark up in this way. But he found that not every species can smell his scent covering what’s his, but these little purple and brown marks littering that perfectly freckled skin seemed to do the job.
What he didn’t understand was the way he would catch the former imp pressing two fingers to some of the little bruises when he thought no one was looking. He’d nonchalantly press his fingers against a little one barely peaking out of his t-shirt, or squeeze his wrist where Zeb had previously sucked at his pulse point. In those moments, he would take a deep breath, maybe even close his eyes, a looking more relaxed.
So he asks. One night as they are laying in bed together after making love, Ezra making himself sparse so they had the room to themselves; Zeb catches him do it again, this time in the dip of his hip, a new mark Zeb just left.
“Why do you do that?” he asks casually, genuinely curious.
“Do what?” Kallus answers back.
“Sasha, you do this thing where ya press against these little souvenirs I leave…” He says motioning to the little marks before scratching the back of his neck.
Kallus turns a little pink, not realizing he had been doing that. “Oh um, I guess I like it.”
“The marks? I like them too.” Zeb smiles and winks.
Mentally counting the marks his boyfriend has left on his body, he playful rolls his eyes, turning on his side to face Zeb. “Obviously.” But then his blush deepens, pink tinting the tops of his shoulders. “But its not just the marks themselves…I like the little bolt of pain I get when I press on them. They ground me, Garazeb. They’re a reminder…” he admits.
“That I’m not alone anymore…that there is someone who wants me, who loves me. I like being reminded that I am yours, and…I like when other people know it. “
With that, Zeb doesn’t care to ask more questions. He wraps his arms around Kallus, pulling him close, happily continuing to mark him up, reminding him that he is loved.
