Given his pedigree, I'd say it's time for Ron Howard Jr. to direct a Sherlock Holmes film.
Graham Moore was celebrated at the 2015 Oscars for his speech. We interviewed him and we agree - stay weird, stay different.
Can anyone who hears this speech refrain from brushing a righteous tear from their eye? It is a good day.
P.S., check out podcast with Graham Moore, author of "The Sherlockian."
“In recent years, people have said, ‘This is the way I am.’ And others looked around and we discovered it’s our next-door neighbor, we’re very fond of them. Or it’s our child’s best friend, or even our child.”
“I think that as more and more people came out and said, ‘This is who I am,’ the rest of us recognized that ‘they’ are one of us.” -- Ruth Bader Ginsburg

if there’s anything i’ve learnt from today its this: create while you can. with all of your passion, your heart, with everything you have. create indiscriminately.
do. you don’t know when the time will come that you can’t.
for ten years now, leonid tishkov has traveled the world with his moon. here we see him in arctic svalbard magdalene fjord (1,5,7), new zealand, near rangitito (second and fourth photo, taken by marcus williams), the tian shang observatory near the border between china and kyrgyzstan (third photo, by po-i chen) and moscow (sixth and eighth photos taken by boris bendikov)
"the moon is a shining point that brings people together from different countries, of different nationalities and cultures - and everyone who gets in its orbit does not forget it ever. it gives fairytale and poetry in our prosy and mercantile world," leonid writes. "the moon helps us to overcome our loneliness in the universe by uniting us around it."
leonid adds, “the ancient ural peoples who lived in my home told a fairy tale about how a shaman goes into the next world, illuminating the path of the moon. so in all of my photos, i can be seen in my late father’s cloak, because he travels with me in this way.”

He yelled at me until we adopted him
When my BFF told me her new BF's last name was Riddle I thought omg she's dating Voldemort.
„I am a vulgar man! But I assure you, my music is not.”
My friend Chris Music has researched and compiled this book.
I'm reading it now, and so far I have learned that the popular film star ZaSu Pitts was an avid Sherlockian, putting forth the theory that Mary Morstan was Dr. Watson's ONLY wife, contrary to the claim of many that (based on Doyle's notoriously faulty dating in the stories) he had as many as six. She believed that when Holmes spoke of Watson's "bereavement" in The Empty House, he was referring to the death of their baby, not to Mary. This doesn't, of course, explain why Watson promptly sold his medical practice and moved back into 221B following Holmes' "resurrection" in 1894...BUT, since BBC Sherlock is the only version I know of that includes Mary having a baby, I wonder if Mofftiss may not be planning to work in this theory in some way...that is, IF they have a chance to make a fourth series which, sadly is still much in doubt at this point.
Here is a review from the Amateur Mendicant Society website:
FROM THE LOWER VAULT Treasures from the Archives of The Amateur Mendicant Society of Detroit Edited by Christopher Music, BSI FROM THE LOWER VAULT is an archival history of one of the Baker Street Irregular's oldest scion societies—The Amateur Mendicant Society of Detroit. With the encouragement of Vincent Starrett, the AMS was founded in 1946 by fellow newspaperman Russell McLauchlin of the Detroit News—and is still active and thriving today—nearly 70 years later. The Amateur Mendicant Society of Detroit is very fortunate to have in its possession a rich archive of documents dating back to the 1940s—letters, scholarly papers, magazine and newspaper articles, dinner programs, photographs, and much more, and FROM THE LOWER VAULT highlights many of the most important items found in that archive. FROM THE LOWER VAULT brings to light for the first time in decades the earliest documents from the club's founding and early history. Contained are writings from Sherlockian giants like Russell McLauchlin, Bill Rabe, Robert G. Harris, Vincent Starrett, Edgar W. Smith & many others. It is also a look back to bygone era—a Golden Age in Detroit history—when fellow Sherlockians used typewriters, sent telegrams, handwrote letters, and met in long forgotten clubs in order to discuss the most important issues of the day—Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John H. Watson.

I've been having fun with this Frogwares game, a Sherlock Holmes/Lovecraft crossover. But Watson is really creepy. You can't hear his footsteps and he mysteriously "teleports." You'll be walking down a dark alley and turn around and he'll be right behind you, standing stock still like a zombie.
I got this idea of combining game action with the Jaws theme, only to discover it's been done already:

Creepy Watson. It's a thing.
